We join EcoTraining students Petra Wadh and Adriaan Kroner for the second episode of our 'Nocturnal Visitors to our Camps' series. In this series, we look at the animals that love visiting our camps.
Today, we look at scorpions; most commonly, we encounter scorpions from the Scorpionidae and Buthidae families here in the African bush. To us, they are more like residents in the camp than visitors as we co-exist with them every day.
Scorpions can live up to 28 years and take up to two years to reach maturity. Let's join Petra and Adriaan on their quest to find some scorpions and learn which ones are venomous and how to identify them.
Which nocturnal animals would you like to learn more about?
