In the past two days, Russia has launched one of the largest drone and missile strikes on Ukraine's energy facilities in the two-year full-scale invasion. Zaporizhzhia's Dnipro Hydroelectric Power Plant, Ukraine's largest hydroelectric station, was hit during the attack. Over a million people experienced power outages across the country as a result of Russia's attacks.
Why didn't Ukraine's air defences intercept Russian drones and missiles? Can Ukraine sustain further Russian missile attacks? Fabian Hoffmann, a doctoral researcher at the University of Oslo’s Nuclear Program, sat down with Sergej Sumlenny, the host of the @EuroResilience podcast, to discuss Ukraine's air defences.
