Hi Suzanne, I have worked for the Education Dept for the past 18 years with Autism and Behaviours. I am looking for a change at my young age of almost 53 😉 This program speaks to me, I will see you on the 28th 💕

Hi Suzanne I am currently working through the certification program and am so excited ( and a bit nervous to be honest) to offer this to my community. I am older myself but this just seems like such a perfect fit. I’ve told my friends and family and they agree! My biggest hurdle is the online technology… my age - not an excuse just my reality. I’m confident I’ll have conquered that aspect by the time I start working. Obviously. Is there a way to DM you or staff? I may have overlooked. Anyone thinking about it- this program is comprehensive and phenomenal. I’m a retired teacher, but a long time hospice volunteer and this is so beneficial in terms of organization, comprehensiveness, and compassion! Thanks !

Added myself to the free info "training" I've gone through birth doula training but I just can't stomach working in hospitals as I retire as an RN, also concerned about physical toll on my body. . My heart calls me to this home centered work as I had an amazing experience helping my Dad transition and saw what Hospice nurses brought to the family.

I feel like I am called for this, I was wondering what is the physical toll on your body in this profession. I am 57 and I haven't worked in several years now before that I worked in the field as a security officer in the prison system. I love helping people and others. I want to give back to people.

Hi Karla, That is wonderful. Doulagivers do not do any hands on or physical care. It is very easy on the body.

I love this as a calling for me. I'm a RN and believe in hospice and helping the patient, their families and caregivers help their loved transition. Looking forward to learning more.

Hi! 73% Of our gradates are in private practice, they get referred to families through hospice, doctors, community outreach etc. Then there are hospices, nursing homes, home health agencies and even oncology units that are hiring Doulagivers to be on staff. xo Suzanne
