I felt bad you had to pull the Generator all those times. Folks a little older should consider buying a Gen with electric/autostart to avoid the struggle.

Yeah, a man might be able to pull that cord for an hour, but he would not be in a good mood.

I almost bought the eco flow and some solar panels a few months ago but didn't feel sure about it. Thank you for the real life review. I AM a woman like you and already I felt like I DON'T want a gas generator but watching you pulling on the cord confirms it! I remember the old pull cord lawnmowers- I hated them, so vexing!!! Watching all y'all who went through this storm is great motivation to go ahead and get this checked off the list of things to do. I kept waiting for the perfect sale, wanting to be 100% sure that I am getting the best product for my needs but realizing now that something is better than nothing! God bless Kaye ❤

Good day my forward thinking homesteader steady!😍 The Coast Guard training is REDUNDANCY. Back up everything. I recommend a handheld VHF radio. A Gen must be primed. Use premium gas. Use stabilizer, but better to run it dry, or siphon it out. Hand pumps make it easy. 2 stroke & 4 stroke are different, & require different starting techniques & multiple pulls are unnecessary. On your team & "rooting" for you everyday. (That was funny). Sounds like a 2 stroke. Adjust your idle down. Shouldn't run that fast. YOU can maintenance the Gen. They make it easy. All my good juju your way. YOU CAN DO EVERYTHING!!💜☮️☯️💪🌎🇺🇲

I came to Arizona, zone 9B, mentioned to you Moringa, this year with our 100+ 100F days, and now Sept 28 its 112 at noon, vrazy. Yes very crazy, new word? The Moringa did OK, not the 12' of a regular year, its on the SW side, 5' from the house, hot oven effect, its still blooming, small bean set, I fertilized and gave a super deep watering, but will see if it gets up, its about 7' now As for gas,go get the full syntetic, its used for EMT guys on saws, no smoke, also will keep for a year, as for gas, seek out 0% ethanol, the blended stuff is the best small engine shop job getter, the gum, residue is formed in less than 4 months in high humidity. The 50 to 1 mix in synthetic version will run fine in your generator, I've worked with EMT, and Search and Rescue for years, the synthetic gas has been a game changer. Go to a Stihl shop, they havr it in Gallon jugs

Oh my goodness. My heart went out to you pulling on that cord. Done that many times with my lawn mower. But that would so be me as well with our generator! In fact, just did this with our generator. Well, actually my husband did this while I looked on. Just getting over cancer surgery so not pulling on anything! But I'm learning how to do the very same thing just in case of emergency. Hopefully I will never have to do this by myself though. Good informative video. I so want to get our generator hooked up to our home some day. That is the hope. But the real hope is for the rapture! Lol, lets hopefully forget about pulling on these cords. Have a blessed day. Sending love and thanks for all your hard work, sweat and love that you put into your videos I enjoy so much! ❤

You did an excellent job explaining everything. In reality, the ecoflow has too little capacity, the gas generator has too much. Most of the power is wasted.

Good Morning Kaye - Thanks so much for this introduction and review of the Ecoflow generator as I have been looking at buying one soon. Some are too heavy for older folks to lift so an important consideration. Stay safe and blessings..

It's not to bad to lift and set down on a dolly. Just carrying it distances you would want a dolly if you are older.

Kay, did you buy the solar panel to charge it during an outage? I have 2 solar generators by a different manufacturer. One is only 300W, the other 1300W. Yours will power longer and/or items that pull more wattage. It takes very little wattage to run a computer, lights and fans. You can recharge them with your house current, your car, or the solar panels. I will buy a larger one like yours when I can afford it. Mine have come in handy during power outages, and I've only recharged them with my house outlets when the power was restored. I haven't used the solar panels yet.

I do like this one, but how you will charge it in a grid down situation is important! I will be getting a pure sine inverter generator compatible. I expect all the power stations require this.

You can charge it up using a solar panel. While it’s charging you can charge up a cellphone, etc I have this one, the pro and river. I love all of them. Charging up is way faster than my Jackery.

Thank you Kaye. I've been researching that same unit for a couple of weeks. It's on sale on amazon. The solar panels would be neat, but they are really expensive. I wonder if the cheap panels at Harbor Freight would work?

Thanks for the review. Do you still have the Toyota ? You should be wearing ear protection around that loud machine. Always close the choke when starting a small engine. When you store it, empty the gas tank and pump the carburetor dry.

You could get a small heavy extension cord so it would clear the base. Or you could take a sharp knife and notch the base..
