In the past when I've made critical videos they haven't always been received very well. I make these kinds of videos because sometimes we need to have a critical and sometimes realistic look at what our expectations are.
I know that there are going to be a few people who are upset by this video and the things I have to say, and I almost considered not uploading this, but when I hold myself back from uploading content like this, it feeds into this negative loop where I feel like I have to walk on egg shells, as opposed to creating the content that I want to create.
I'm more than happy for people to disagree with me in the comments on any of the points I've made but I feel that when we're releasing things for commercial sale, we have to take a good hard look at what we're making and sometimes put on the black hat of being critical to our own designs. Instead of trying to defend our poor design choices, instead, we should be fixing them.
I do truly apologize if this video upsets anyone, but I don't want to have to feel like I need to limit my content and walk on eggshells.
