Edit: so while writing this I was trying to write off the evil done in the show as tolerable so long as it doesn’t get into your heart but it still has to be addressed as wrong and they never really do that so it’s for the best to part with the manga collection and the JJBA anime I don’t know where to start as of right now I’ve just put the mangas I’ve collected in a box in a storage shed while I evaluate it I deleted the comments because I don’t want to cause any sin and God seemed to tell me the comment will by recommending the show or manga so yeah 😅 I’m really sorry but I’ve evaluated the show and it’s not good and bad and I’m cutting it out of my life along with the other evil promoting anime but not the good ones obviously those can stay not ALL anime is bad (hopefully most of it is secular so it’s got a LOT of gray area 😅) but I will evaluate everything from now on

I've watched so many movies over the past decade, especially when my walk with my LORD Jesus wasn't great. This was something that I needed to be reminded again. I think good movies with good messages and moral values are like gifts, which God let us to enjoy. But to the thing this video is emphasizing on, we need to be careful of what we watch and hear, so that it may not hinder our walk with the LORD but rather we may thank Him for being able to enjoy something good. I Corinthians 10:31 (NKJV) “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” Praise God and thanks to the author of this video for bringing this up.

I might be the biggest cinephile in my church. My greatest dream is to actively work in the cinema industry because I see movies as a reflection of life, storytelling is the way I express myself and films are my escapism. But I also understand that they can’t be the reason why I live. It’s just a dream of a possible work and career, but it won’t be my ticket to Heaven. It can be a medium to bring glory to God, but what Jesus values is my heart (like 1 Samuel 16 says). So thank you for this video, I needed to understand deeply what it means to be a Christian visual storyteller, I hope, if God says yes, to bring content that glorifies Him.

Honestly, this has been food for thought, I genuinely enjoy a k drama or a romance novel, lately I’ve been feeling extremely anxious about enjoying it, same thing makeup videos and stuff, this has encouraged me to be free and mindful about media consumption, also genuinely motivated to start a physical hobby or a creative one to be mindful of the time I spend on media consumption. Sometimes it’s easier than going out to spend time walking or doing something else. Remembering how I cried and sobbed and was overall miserable about enjoying media, or music that made me happy I felt so joyless. This has encouraged me to be more free and enjoy good and healthy things that could teach a lot. Specially since I love discussing character development and growth into a better person or a good narrative. God bless

Like you read my mind! Had a conversation with my friend about this exact topic this same week ❤ been praying and thinking about this topic because everyone seems to hold different standards on it all week, and so for this video to be released at the same time is such a God thing. The part about recognizing personal weakness really hit home for me, and was what I've been trying to find the words to express when others ask why i choose not to listen to cursing in movies. I use a filtering system to bleep those unwanted words/scenes out, and have had a very hard time explaining that to people who don't. I've had bad experiences where people make fun of me for it, act like it's stupid or childish, or just generally make me feel bad about my personal choice, and when trying to explain why I will choose not to entertain myself with something my christian friend will, it boils down to the way i know my mind and sensitivity, and the way i know ill be negatively influenced if i let those things in. Thanks for helping me to explain that more efficiently. (Also we are a bluey loving household😂its so good!!)

Like now I’m questioning if it’s ok the have certain things in the content of the entertainment and if it’s ok for there to be like super powers and magic (I still am on the fence about it but for the most part I see super powers as ok and magic as… complicated tbh it really depends on the context about how it is and if it’s related to paganism or if it’s called magic and all kinds of confusing stuff) but God is lighting my path and I know I can trust in HIM!!!! @@tonywinters1283 The reason is that homosexuality was only a perversion of marriage. Our bodies are designed to reproduce, and that's why only men and women can reproduce. A lot of homosexuality focuses on the sexual aspect, and the majority of the LGBT community are hypersexual and can be gross (Heterosexuality does focus on the sexual aspect as well, I'm not excluding that). Since the free s3x act in the 60's, all it did was cause our world to go backwards, such as unplanned pregnancy, depression, etc. Those unmarried perverted people were also part of s3x cults, heterosexuals and homosexuals alike. Marriage is a foundation, and people have to atleast be able to handle the responsibilities of marriage and having children, but people only marry now because of infatuation, and get divorced once they realize that marriage isn't only about s3x. It's been reported that a lot of homosexual people have issues, and homosexuality stems off of trauma, mental illnesses, etc. A bunch of queer characters in fiction has trauma and issues, and Heartstopper has characters with a bunch of issues as well. (Yes, I know that heterosexual people can have trauma and issues, but a lot of homosexual people tend to have them) Thing is, love isn't a feeling. Feelings come and go. It's a choice. Jesus' sacrifice was love. Feeling infatuated with someone isn't love, that's infatuation. Love is a choice, platonic, romantic, and familial. If you love someone, don't focus on what they make you feel, focus on what you can do for them. (Before you attack me with "you have a romance character as your pfp!!11, Mr. Darcy changed himself because Elizabeth's rejection made him realize about how his behavior was terrible, and he actually did something for her after hearing that her sister, Lydia was marrying Mr. Wickham. He showed his love through his actions, not his infatuation)

I would say to just surrender it to God. Be open and honest about the disappointment you have with Him. I struggled as well with some book series and animes I watched in the past. Letting them go was difficult. But as I continued to draw more and more to God, the desire for the things I left started to go away. It wasn’t right away of course, but overtime. It’s honestly something that can’t really be done alone. There was many times I was tempted but now I’m so glad that I kept my focus on God. I pray that you too find help from God, and you continue to grow in your relationship with Him. God bless you!🌼🙏

I had to stop the video when you said Bluey lol. I really love Bluey also because it's a cartoon that touches on life things dealing with children and adults at the same time. so I just wanted to say that I love how in the video it says not let movies consume your thoughts. I have a habit of doing that especially as a little girl even in my adulthood. I can't watch romance movies because it will consume my thoughts at the end "I'm like man why don't I have a relationship or why nobody loves me like that or will I ever find a love that? And it makes me sad it also makes me lose sight of God and his love for me also his plans for me in finding a future husband so I can't watch that. I know it's just a movie at the end of the day but yea... those are my feelings towards those kinds of me.

I am going to be super sincere to EVERYONE: On August 18th, 2024, before I attended my sophomore year of college, I watched Alien: Romulus. Yes, I am aware of its horror content, including idolatry, but it did not affect me throughout the end of the film. Look, after watching this video, my demeanor completely changed on how I am supposed to respond to detestable content. On YT videos, I make reaction videos but keep them PG. That means I remove profanity, alcohol, smoking, sexual content, and self-harm. Plus, I have NO right to judge anyone because Christ is our righteous judge. If anyone has offended me, I would forgive them, since Christ forgives me.

films can indeed convey important values and ideas, influencing our perception of the world and shaping moral principles. However, considering that some films may contain harmful or manipulative elements, especially regarding youth, it's crucial to be discerning about their content. Viewers should cultivate critical thinking to distinguish positive messages from negative ones and make conscious choices in favor of artistic works that promote spiritual and moral development.

I grew-up bonding with my dad with watching movies. However some movies he liked I disagreed with even though I still found it entertaining, but if either one of us disagreed with something we could always talk and share what made us uncomfortable. For a while we would watch (The BigLebowski) a movie he liked but many things in that movie I was very uncomfortable with. After a while I stopped watching it with him and in his alone time he was seeing what was so wrong despite it being a funny movie. For me I prefer horror movies- depending on what it's about- My dad likes watching scary movies around Halloween time. He enjoys classics, and slasher movies. I like the Classics (HECK I enjoy even silent horror classics) but what I really enjoy is TheConjuring franchise; while on the other hand my dad doesn't like mixing religion/supernatural horror in the same mix. We also enjoy a lot of religious movies like PilgrimsProgress, TheChosen, and Nativity movies. Our huge basement is a massive library of DVD's and yes even VHS. My dad and I live with my brother&sister-inlaw and all their movies are there. But the one thing we always agreed on was being aware of reality and fiction and knowing that it was very important to separate the two. Movies are not real, that's the bottomline!

I’ve watched a lot of movies in my life ; I’m sad to say I’ve seen movies that I probably shouldn’t have seen!😢 Like DP&W and it’s very tuff because at some point you do feel the FOMO ( Fear of Missing Out). Truly, I’d rather take the FOMO than lose my salvation!!! And not even go as far as to say that in our generation it’s become really tough to go and enjoy movies because of all the propaganda and misinformation that the studios try to push on us as believers 💯!

my brother as a kid was watching "the cramp twins". Basically the bad twin had more powers and was more likeable but the good one was always hated with less power. And because of that my brother learnt that evil is good and he was acting the same way as the bad guy. Basically he was beating me up many times like in the series. So i agree that movies and series strongly influence us mostly in childhood when we learn of what is wrong and right. Because of that for example many people believe that beating up their kids is right and it is the only way to teach them stuff. Likewise many another stuff we think is okay but according to the Bible it isnt. For example i always was a tomboy but in God's eyes women wearing male's clothes is an abomination in his eyes. But i always believed that being tomboy, femboy or trans was a normal thing that was natural (but i was wrong)

i think you should do a video on fictional magic / fictional supernatural powers, cuz this is a very debated topic. people will say that reading harry potter is actual wltchcraft. i dont think that becuz fictional magic is often portrayed as something completely different than what Christians would would think as magic. its a another force of nature that humans can harness for different purposes. like electricity, theres magic powered cars and technology. i also notice that the ones who attack it the most are one that used to be in new age and stuff, which would make sense for them not to engage based on what you have said about people having different triggers for sin. i think its interesting that the most influential fantasy property (lord of the rings) was made by a devout catholic who famously had strong opinions about applicability vs allegory.

"Movies are a way for values to be communicated" - at this point, that line should just be slapped as a reminder in front of every piece of media. Watch things with your brain turned on! Realising you disagree with something (and why) can be just as valuable as watching things that do have Godly messages.

And this is why I can sadly not watch Voltron, Dragon Prince or the Great Kipo anymore. They were all great shows right up until they through in same-sex couple junk, which immediately turned me off and rubbed me the wrong way. It really is a shame how Hollywood and every major movie producer feels like it's okay to pander to that which is wrong just to be popular. Furthermore, I tend to stay away from the majority of anime because they have a habit of oversexualizing women and giving them ridiculous proportions that are not only unrealistic, but also extremely sinful. Please pray for me as I struggle with this temptation.

I understand. A lot of anime loves to objectify women, and a lot of shows throw in homosexuality to please Gen Z and Millennial Tumblr users because of how much it has become a f3t1sh since 2020. Not to mention a lot of romance books affected women into unrealistic fantasies of men, or contain problematic relationships and smut. I read Jane Austen, but I don't unrealistic expectations of men. I read her books because of the healthy portrayal of relationships.

Stories are the the way humans shape their lives, period. Joseph Campbell knew this well. One should always be careful of the stories they consume. And while it wasn't the thrust of the video, when it comes to media aimed at children, who are the most vulnerable among us, it really gets me going that people have allowed themselves to be conditioned that it's ok to give sub-par and even toxic stories to them, as though children don't absorb around them like sponges. Children's media is, in fact, the media which should have the greatest scrutiny of all. And we used to have a word that's fallen out of use for media that a child can enjoy as well as any parents who are there with them rather than letting the screen be the parent, and it was called "family entertainment" rather than "children's entertainment" and that's because it was meant for the family to be able to get something out of the experience rather than color and noise to brainlessly amuse a child.

I've had to cut out movies, music with words (even a lot of popular so called Christian music), a lot of KZitem videos, etc. I've watched a lot from the Little Lights Studios shows (They're 7th Day Adventists, but they expose a lot of stuff that's helpful). It's like this KZitemr I was watching today said, we read our Bible for as little as 7 minutes and the devil doesn't care because, we're going to watch 6 hours of stuff that undoes that 7 minutes throughout the day. I don't mind thinking of myself as a bit weak and suggestible. I keep going to church, reading my Bible, and being absolutely on fire for Jesus and then slowly slipping away until I start speaking against Christianity. I can't afford to let a KZitem short snowball into the death of my faith in God or the thing that leads me to a Gospel that's mostly in alignment when mostly isn't good enough.
