She knew at the moment her father was right the whole world did hear her voice. When he brought up her dad she cried. He was her rock other than God. That moment must have been so powerful

All the accolades, awards, and praise that Aretha Franklin received were well earned. Her contribution to American music, her steadfast stand on Civil Rights, and positively influencing female singers and others during the beginning of her career and well beyond her passing will never tarnish or fade. Humanity was extremely lucky to have such a great person such as Aretha Franklin, the Queen of Soul.

You see Aretha wasn’t just an artist. She was and is the greatest most influential & celebrated singer of all time. Her original and natural vocal stylings are loved by millions all across the world & have gained the respect of every singer in every generation that came after and EVEN BEFORE her. She isn’t just The Queen Of Soul. She’s the queen of PERIOD! And everyone knew it! Hell people held her on more of a pedestal and were more honored to meet her then the actual QUEEN OF ENGLAND 😂💯👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾ive never met her and never will but just existing on this earth at the same time as her for 19 years (how old i was when she passed) is an honor alone! All Hail The Queen! True royalty.

I know when they said something about her father that struck a nerve, notice that’s when it got surreal for her. Ms. Franklin loved her daddy. Rev. Franklin would have been so proud.

The Current admin was very very corrupt compared to this one that you keep espousing your hateful rethoric. you had a do nothing clinton administration who believed the best way to deal with terrorist was to throw a cruise missile at it. W. sent troops to finish the job instead of lobbing just a missile at them. love him or hate him, at least he knows how to govern more so than the current fucking moron in charge of this soon to be fractured nation. from lincoln to obama, they all have one thing in common, they worked hard to keep the nation united, the current one is okay breaking it apart or under marshal law.

I'm bawling. I don't follow celebrities, but man she was just. so. REAL. I see these "just like us" famous people and it's so choreographed and fake. When I was younger I saw an interview where she said, I buy my groceries every week and named the store, like, I don't care come shopping with me! What an inspiration she is.

She is the Queen who never forgot, she was just people. A Detroit reporter talked about the first time she saw Ms. Franklin in the grocery store. She got so excited and told cashier. She cashier laughed and said, "Oh she's in here all the time".
