What you heard was 36 years of heartbreak and anguish finally being released. The triumph of not just a team, but a nation, a continent, and a hemisphere. The US is proud of you, Argentina. Thanks for bringing the trophy back to our little corner of the world :) And thank you Andres Castor for one of the great calls in sports history.

We're winning a world cup soon, bro. Maybe not this one, but the way we're sending our yanks to Europe and having them play, it's coming.
@S0ulinth3machin3
4 ай бұрын
@@garyprieto3731 no we won't. We're sending our players there and they're good athletes, but the best players in the world are not American. The player dubbed "Captain America" (Pulisic) by US corporate TV couldn't even crack the starting lineup of a mid level Premier League team (Chelsea). The problem is the coaching. Not the coaching of the national team. The coaches of the kids. They're all trying to win. Kids travel around, go to tournaments, they try to win. But when they're that young, they don't need to learn how to win yet, they need to learn skills. Touch. All that time spent traveling would be better doing drills by themself in the backyard, developing that world class touch. The US has one player who has the god-like touch: Rose Lavelle. But she had a British coach who taught her to do those drills in her backyard. He also made it fun for her. All the American coaches, they're living vicariously through their kids, thinking Little League is some epic contest. They need to teach those kids touch. Mikaela Schiffrin (soon to be greatest ever skier) ran gates at home while other kids her age traveled to races. Heung Ming Son (won the Premier League Golden Boot 2 years ago) was never allowed to play youth soccer by his father (who was a coach). They developed their skills in those important formative years. Imagine how good a 10 year old piano player would be if they spent all their time traveling around to competitions instead of sitting at home, practicing.

My earliest memories of Andres Cantor was his commentary during World Cup 94. Was only 4 years old at the time. Now I'm 32 and in tears hearing him call out his home country as World Cup Champions. Truly the greatest World Cup ever. Much love from a Salvadorean 1st gen living in the US to Argentina and France for giving the world a hell of a finale. See you all in 3 and a half years.

Probably the greatest call in sports history and I could care less for Soccer as an NFL fan from the US.. You immediately connect with his emotion and despite the fact he could easily be biased towards Argentina he wasn't during the game and gave the same energy for France's scores as he did for his hometown. In the end he let it all out and I dont think anyone had a problem with it... HTTR ( if you understand that you're a friend) and viva Andres Cantor..

It’s a great game, I would definitely recommend getting into it if you like the passion of these announcers. Moments like this are just as amazing as seeing your team get a last second TD in the playoffs in the NFL. Maybe even more because it’s something that unites the whole country, allows people of rival clubs to join in a shared celebration. Dallas fan BTW, so probably not the friend you were looking for :P But best of luck and see you in the playoffs maybe.

Many people living in the U.S. turned over from the Fox coverage to Telemundo as they would rather hear this amazing commentary although they couldn’t understand it. I just love it, it’s so passionate and this was his last ever commentary job, what a way to end your career. It’s miles better than this “He shoots!, what a goal!!!”, that’s just boring and with this the commentators just lose it and it’s what football commentary should be about. Well happy Argentina won and Messi finally got the big trophy, while becoming the highest goal scoring World Cup winner of all time. What a long amazing career!!. One day I hope to visit Argentina!!!❤❤❤
