Cheers for the Victoria reverberato. Amazing unit, very much unsung to my knowledge. Nothing does it what it does at low, gentle levels of reverb. I still remember when I got it, a friend came over to check it out. I played and he was like ‘beautiful fat tone, but Turn in the reverb so I can hear it.” It was on at a very low setting. And when I turned it off he was floored at how much it had been subtly adding.

Interesting on the dirt side how similar Ariel's choices and usage are to Jeff McErlain's recent pedalboard videos. That King Tone fuzz is the hardest thing to replicate.

@@schmosterballs92 lets see... Chase Bliss Tonal Recall (slapback delay), Walrus Monument V2 (harmonic tremolo), Vemuram Jan Ray (smooth overdrive), Kingtone Mini Fuzz Germanium (mostly stacked), Chase Bliss Dark World (reverb), Hudson Broadcast AP (overdrive set pretty ‘lightly’), Eventide H9 (all kinds of modulation). Hope this helps! I might be missing something but that’s what i saw and recognised

Anything done with the fingers is in the fingers, being better at guitar is in the being better at guitar. Watch the analogman video where he says he’ll change a transistor and his most notable, big name players will say “this won’t work for me.” Tone is in the ears, whatever means you get there.
@SteveHubbardGuitar

@@CenterThePendulum it comes down to the way something feels, and the way it inspires you to play. What less experienced don't understand is that playing a 6000$ amp doesn't suddenly make you sound amazing. They don't grasp the reality that if your touch and finesse aren't world class, your tone isn't world class. No piece of gear can compensate for how you play the instrument.. Especially when your right hand has the greatest impact on tone. It's the same situation with drums. You simply cannot buy your way into having great tone.

You can get something like this from Thomann. It's their in house brand, Thon, and it's built like a tank. I used one to ship all my guitars from the UK to Japan and the thing arrived at the other end without a scratch! It will, however, set you back around 600 euros...
