This is a nice podcast but please adjust the volume so that some voices aren't super louder than others, it makes it pretty difficult to listen to

I found this through Arin's retweet and figured he was collabing with a small channel to help them out, have a good time, all that jazz but I looked at the channel itself and holy shit, how does a podcast with so many big names not even get 10k views??? Like these people are pulling art and animation industry titans yet nobody is giving a shit? This is wild

Yeah this series is wildly underrated! I think the two are able to get these big of people just by being in the animation industry themselves, but still. I wish more people would listen in.

Enjoy it! The numbers are a side effect. I know that we're all tremendously grateful for this team and the people opening up for the world on Creative Block. It is such a fantastic educational resource!!! Can't wait for more ears to be inspired by these many episodes 🌟

Yeah, I was waiting until I finished it to comment the same thing. Arin’s voice is so low, and every time Vee or Gene jumped in I had to jump to turn the volume down. Loved the episode but listening to it was not an ideal experience. 1:23:40 was just one specific time, but there’s a bunch throughout.

Yeah, if anyone from the production is reading this, you guys need to use an audio compressor on the audio channels then normalize the db levels

I really love how Arin Handon knows that he needed to work hard to get to a position where he chooses to help others like doing charities. Which he doesn't need too, but he genuinely wants to help.

I really love hearing Arin talk candidly about life experiences and whatnot. Despite not watching GG in, like, several years at this point, I’ve always admired his work ethic and appreciate the times where he’s allowed to be candid and personal. I got really into indie Internet animation from Egoraptor and GG. I followed so many wickedly talented artists through that spear and I’m eternally grateful for that. Great episode, guys!!!
Those girls hanging out are top tier! Love every vibe!

Great episode. Arin gets way too much flak from the animation/NG community for "abadoning" animation. People like to gloss over the flack that game grumps has helped boost the careers of tons of animators by being one of (if not the) first lets play channels to feature animators on their channel, not to mention giving Yotta a lot of work with Starbomb stuff when they were earlier in their career. People pretend like he just completely turned his back on that community but just because he himself doesn't animate anymore doesn't mean he isn't still helping out the community as a whole.

went back to look at the DBZ in a nutshell videos finding out arin voiced them. man looking back at them, they're is kinda like the start of 'abridged' series as a whole aren't they? the whole thing is like a continuous bit playing off these exaggerated versions of the characters in a whole parody sequence. you have to wonder if TFS was like inspired by that for to start their series

14:12 - I'm not an artist but I personally think that in any field, it's all about iteration. So like in software, those who make good robust programs for the end user are people who continually iterate on the problem and resolve it using prior knowledge on what was a bad idea before (at least in my experience). So in art, I'd imagine that any artists who've succeeded to some degree have drawn things more times than they can even begin to count. Then when they draw another human like thing, I'd imagine they reuse patterns that worked before. I am curious to hear what other artists who read this comment think as it's cool to pop out into other professions to get new PoVs!

1:00:23 This is mean. I got made fun of like this all the time when I made cartoons and it fucking sucked. It didn’t give me a thick skin or make me a better artist or make me think more about what I was doing, it just hurt. You can use this podcast to pretend it’s all in good fun, but it’s not fun, it’s mean. It hurts.

How is it mean? He’s talking about media produced by entire teams and studios, not individual creators posting cartoons online. Sometimes, a show or game just doesn’t work for whatever reason, and you can learn from its failures. Also he even talks about admiring creativity or odd choices in stuff that overall doesn’t work.
