I saw these guys play in Madison, WI, the last show prior to recording this. Excellent show, met them afterward, got pics (and picks) and buttons from the guys. We even assisted in loading their trailer and one of the roadies slipped me a set of Gonzo's drumsticks. Though, that part may have actually happened the NEXT time they were in town, time has made things a bit foggy in my noodle...

shane hucks You're welcome. The DVD also adds to my own collection of stuff, and yeah, Dave was amazing, especially on "Human Vulture". because the way he played the guitar sounded like he was doing two parts at once-while he was doing the chainsaw sound, he was filling in with little rhythm parts and it sounded like two guitars, and that was what really got me.

Brian Duff Sure do, man! Circa 1986, me and my buddies would heap into the car, go to the Sizzler or Ponderosa steakhouse\salad bar, then off to the local mall where we would hit up the arcade and the record store as well as the hobby shop, as well as hangin' with the chicks. Then back to the house to hit the NES and have all our friends over as we handed the controller back and forth while other friends would drift in and out with their girlfriends as we handed the NES controller back and forth between us It was a sea of carefree fun and a time sorely, I say SORELY missed.

I was supposed to see Armored Saint at the Marquee in Garden Grove, CA abt 1989-90 but when they played the night before, a huge fight broke out in the parking lot (shock) and a guitarist (don't know which one) was hurt bad so we drove out there to find they weren't playing. Bummer!! I was so looking forward to hearing/seeing them live in a tiny venue, John Bush up close and personal, rrruff. RIP...Dave, you were one of the most underrated guitarists ever! ROCK ON!!!

+MsDragonFire Always goes to show you that the assholes have to ruin it for everyone else. In my neck of the woods, there were always huge fights in the parking lots of the Allentown Fairgrounds in Allentown, PA which was a huge metal venue back in the 80's, not to mention that Allentown is now a worthless war zone with about 9 or 10 pages of police arrests in the weekly newspaper. I'm glad I got to see all the major bands back in the day without a scratch when today you have to worry about some thug blowing you away when all you want to do is go to hear the music. However, I am truly sad above all other sadness, that Armored Saint was NOT one of those bands in the list of bands i got to see.

This is one band I truly REGRET not seeing back in the day, although I did catch this concert on MTV, and remember the night well. We had a bunch of chicks over the house as we watched it and when "Isolation" was playing, some of the chicks started getting a little loose and it got pretty wild. We didn't have enough rooms in the house so we had to make do with whatever space we had, lol Now it's 28 years later and I ask myself where the hell it went, and feel a wistful watching this as it seems my hair is now flecked with slat and pepper gray and i am no longer 23 years old...
