Thanks so much for these uploads! VHS, I'm guessing :) These original episodes are the very best of A&M and I never thought I'd ever get to see them again. You've made an old Stryker fan very happy.

I dont see that. There is an episode of QI (I dont know the date) in which panel discusses the misconception that RAF pilots were all posh. So I think the A and M pilots are partly based on that historical fallacy. But Andrews and Johnson are such fun. See Series 2 episode 3 1998: "One of the things we've really got to nail down is the difference between a mathematical conundrum and a rather poor anecdote". And Series 1 Ep 1 1997 - Andrews new plan concerning the stone. Its Sooooo good.

The stuff they did after their hiatus is hilarious, but their 1990's shows were shite and paled in comparison to the much superior Fast Show. The Armstrong and Miller Show is far better than the decade earlier Armstrong and Miller (this show), just as That Mitchell and Webb Look is much better than the decade earlier The Mitchell and Webb Situation. Both shows shared some incredible writers when they returned after about a decade away.

It is shown to an audience and their laughter is laid over the video, that is not canned laughter - which is laughing when cued to laugh. Technically cheating.
