Pretty spot on review I have one, had one since early last year and have been shooting it regularly, sometimes at least a few mags per day. At this point I'm probably closing in on 15K worth of BBs on this gun alone. I've had to change the hammer to a TM 1911 style one and shave it down, and generally some of the stock parts were kinda shoddy. Spare WE parts managed to save it, but the current underlying problem is that currently with a winter piston head, I've have a variety of issues with the O Ring and generally on standard green gas, I can barely make it to 20 rounds, where as on 3.0 or 4.0, I can make it there, especially on the latter. Had to super glue the rear irons, and replaced the front irons with a similar one. Overall, it's a good collectors pistol but I wouldn't recommend it to most if they're not willing to tinker. I think the R501 has a lighter weight slide and has been known to be a really good performer.

Thanks to this video review and this comment for providing useful real life information on regards to the wear and tear. Other reviews mostly just give the box info. I don't want something that will require that much maintenence.

You have to get the Cytac HiCapa 5.1 Holster 2011... Another youtuber from the channel and store Airsoft Atlanta shows how perfect it clips in this pistol. It is the best one I've seen if you're looking for a hardshell.

Great overview! I would invest in a TM spec steel hammer instead rather than keep buying replacement Army ones they are pants, TM hammers can fit no problem. Shame the hop unit BBU and sights are proprietary Army makes some other nice capa based models with mostly TM spec

Hey I just tried it out today and my magazine was leaking like CRAZY around the baseplate (part with the TTI logo). Unfortunately, it's constant so the mag runs out after 2-3 shots if I can even get it to work. I'm using Asura green gas from Amazon. Can you advise? I'm new to GBB this is actually my first one. The baseplate looks like it's pinned from the top so I can't tell how to remove it for inspection.
@whitey1airsoft892
3 жыл бұрын
All you need to do is knock the base pin out which the plate will then slide off exposing the valve and screw. Take out the screw with a screwdriver then the bottom section will come out and you will see a rubber seal. Lubricate that seal and put it back in. Putthe screw plate back on, give it a tap with a hammer to ensure the seal is seated correctly then put the base plate back on. You shouldn't leak after that. It's always usually the rubber seal. Let me know how you get on and I'll advise further. For gas a use the ultra air in a tan bottle from my review video don't cheap out on gas as cheap gas is usually crap

@@whitey1airsoft892 i might ask you for more help... i have the screw and pin removed now but the base plate is impossible to remove, my fingers are turning white. I doubt it means I have to tap this with a mallet or hammer... maybe my plate is jammed with a manufacturing defect?

Seems to be very hit and miss with who gets threaded barrels. Type in google combat master spare parts bespoke Airsoft and youl find bespokes page. Like in the video the hop unit it proprietary but you can change the hop wheel, rubber that's all you need to change really. What did you have in mind to upgrade in it?
