Back when America still was America. I seem to remember this from after Desert Storm.

I remember hearing a story bout 101st Vienam vet who stop bus of vets returning home Desert Storm. He got on the bus snap to and saluted them and said thank you for bringing us home. That always stuck with me, probably my dad was in both wars. I am handicapped or i would been 9 generation soldier. My dad always if i could join along as I was a tanker he wouldn't slap upside the the head. I wanted to be a Ranger or a Apache Pilot. And if someone told me to pick up a weapon and help defend this country. I still believe in her. As a teacher told me stupidity can only go so far.

I'm the shortest Cub Scout saluting the flag. Shot in Bakersfield, CA in 1986. This particular version of the classic "Freedom isn't Free" ad concept is from 1986 or maybe even 87, but could definitely contain clips from older versions. As time went on, the ad was continually updated. Ad agency is Young & Rubicam. In college, when I was a bleeding heart lefty, I actually felt guilty for being in a military ad, LOL. Thank God I'm grown up now and have a healthy sense of pride in our armed forces.

Thank you, Larry Lapetto, and is monetized Voices of History KZitem channel, for your videos on WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and Afghan/Iraq wars honoring us, the veterans who have served today!!! I thank God that 30 years ago, in 1989, I met Command Sergeant Major Henry L. Sellers and Lieutenant Colonel Wilson, Englewood High School Army JROTC, that gave us speeches like this here in Fargo in 2019. Because of them, I decided to enlist as a PFC in the summer of my 11th grade (1992) to serve my country and finally become a Sergeant, commissioned (1999) at Georgia Military College to become a 2nd Lieutenant of great men. Now we get to pass on those values to the next generation of heroes who will carry the MANTLE despite the political whims in the USA! Like the song, I heard in 1989, "My hometown, it is not like this, but that's alright with me. See, I'm out here for my hometown. Cause Freedom isn't Free!!" kzitem.info/news/bejne/1o6V1KqAcmSKaaQ

the best song ever in video/music/motivation to get more recruiting....NOT BECAUSE I WAS BEHIND this....i contributed a big deal...see an invitation passed to all commands to create "some songs" or some uummm you know some sounds that would help for new usar ad and/or promo and/or commer and so on.... i was simply a civilian, a minor walking thru a hallway in a usar bldg and read it in early 1980s and commented to my dad who was with me....he was a usaf retiree....he said.."oh son, they would never pay attention....though ...if you can make a good one...see it says about a prize...(at the time i knew more english that he did) so i began....when i was taking a shower, riding on a bus, sitting in a park....i was always recording myself ...you know ...short sounds, short rhythms, melodies....finally i was ready to present something interesting that i was always wishing to do for the u.s. armed forces...they liked the choosings, the ideas, so forth at that usar fort...after MONTHS!! i heard one saying that only one from the pacific command was competing with "us" that was great....Well back then i knew nothing about the FAKE COLD WAR "DANGERS" (vietnam), EARMARKS, and the billionaire LOANS without guarantees in 2008 so sad the number of lives lost in vietnam, the Billions ...what for??? vietnam is there nothing happened besides the HUUUGE U.S. DEBT...thanks GOD my father didn't commit himself in what he promised me for a residency....i would be now a USAF LTC or COL back then i would have exposed my life for u.s. citizens anywhere, anyhow, and at anytime....but fooor AMERICANS that is....not the trillions interests of a country in the middle east...you know which.... that filters americans in who can run for president and much more in...who can win... so sad sooo many lives lost in IRAK...thanks GOD i don't believe anymore in apple pie, axis of evils but yes in HELLYBURTON$$$ SCANDAL$$$, right fmr. sec. DIK CHENEI$$$$

Cheesy? Get out of your momma's basement. Or shut up....shutting up and not having others deal with your shitty attitude would be preferable. Have a little respect for those that have tried (and yes died) for your a$$
