Navy vet. Glad Navy won. People need to remember the players on both teams aren't going on to multi million dollar contracts as pros, they're going to serve their country. There is a reason this game was pushed back to be after all the conference championships. It should always be the last game before the bowls and the only game on TV that week.

@@JesusChrist2000BC Being selected for a service academy is still way more special than just being a college football player somewhere else. As for military service it actually is still special, or maybe special in newer ways unlike the past, especially in one regard that most Americans overlook. About 99% of US highschool grads are qualified to attend some kind of college, along with most non-HS grads, but only about 20% to 25% of US HS grads are qualified (minimally) to serve (enlist that is) for US military service. Academy Midshipmen and Cadets are probably the top 0.1 % or better btw. 75% to 80% of US HS grads are simply too weak, too mentally stupid, or too psycho dysfunctional to serve and the standards have not fundamentally changed a bit in half a century back when only a small minority would be physically or mentally rejected (asthma, flat feet, etc.) Most people giving thought to America's couch potato youth go "oh yeah" on the physical part, but often miss the fact that our youngsters have far less real education or common sense than great gramps had 80 years ago when he left school with an 8th grade education. No exaggeration whatsoever. It's also worth noting that the % of Americans who serve are becoming ever smaller as our population grows and grows, but our military manpower has been shrinking. The American media and other institutions have degraded the esteem rightfully due to America's warriors. I'll be the first to admit that the military structure has been degrading itself lately, but we still need them. Before long we may need them urgently.

@Paul Revere Honestly I don't disagree with you about that. But you don't speak for everyone if people want to serve their country or not. Because the reason why I didn't go to college is because I chose not to and my parents didn't make me go to college because they couldn't afford it. But I turned out really good though. But I do like and respect the people that do serve our country. But I know that I don't have to enlist to do that because I choose not to and that's why. Also please respect that and if you don't then I don't care. Because I'm always a fan of Army Black Knights college football team.
