Just fyi, cue balls are sometimes (not always) heavier than the coloured balls, plus being a little bigger. *However*, if they are in regular use, they'll be worn down and lose weight and size. So, there might be an additional layer to the story, being that Rothstein knew the ball he would hand the gentleman was new and therefore, larger than the used balls he'd swallowed before. Tbh, the story feels a little cruel for Rothstein, at least in Boardwalk, he shouldn't really be this malevolent. The writing probably should of included something about the man swindling the patrons of the hall and Rothstein becoming quietly enraged by the claims, because people would spend less money at his establishments.

The fact of the matter is Frankie Yale was a straight up killer. He didn’t answer to anyone and had a ton of power and respect himself. His Black Handers gang was ruthless. He himself consolidated immense power in Brooklyn New York and Chicago to some extent. If AR actually talked to him like this, Frankie would have beat him to A bloody pulp. Which Frankie had done many times throughout his life. Both Yale and AR died at the end of gun. Yale was hit by Capone for robbing Capones trucks, AR’s murderer was never caught nor did anyone claim the hit either.

Am I the only one who noticed the subtle motif of AR continually picking up the cue ball to set up his shot? Anyone who shoots stick knows you play it as it lays. But not this cat, he picks up the ball and puts it to his best advantage.

Well played and effective scene, but every (and I mean EVERY) two-bit hustler doing anything around pool knows the cue ball is larger than the other balls.

It’s not impossible to be both Italian and Jewish. Remember “The Merchant of Venis” all about Jews in Italy…… Being Jewish isn’t a nationality it’s an ethnicity at best, really it’s just heritage from the east Mediterranean cost area….. Lol also it’s a religion as well ofcourse. There are jews in just about every country on earth. Thank god for that maybe they can set an example to the rest.

In the end only thing he could was kill him so that threat was in itself sub par to his earlier tale.
