@@thespiken A few suggestions, it's pretty rare that people born in the 50s have much of a connection to video games and know what's going on. It can happen, like John Carpenter (who is born in the 40s!), but that's pretty rare. Unlike Carpenter, Cameron never really mentioned Videogames at all and if he does it usually just a transition to go back to talk about movies and technology. So if you ever have a chance to talk to him, try to merge Question 1+2 into 3. You can say that it was a disappointing game, but give him at least a rundown of the story before asking what he thinks about it. In case of 3) he was offended that they killed of Newt and Hicks early on in Alien³, but he might have changed his mind as in his recent Terminator movie he worked on he had no problem to kill off John Connor early on. 4) You could ask what ideas he and Ridley Scott had when they worked together in the late 90s/early 2000s to make an Alien sequel together. Afaik their budget prospect was too high thus 20 Century Fox was going for a cheaper AvP movie. 5) I think he would like if you thought about the history of your character and what possible arc she would have in a movie. 6) If they make a colonial marines tv servies where the visit different space stations and planet, sure you could get onto one where its overrun people into zombielike beasts due a failed experiment. 7) You could additionally ask if he has seen the assembly cut of Alien³. 8) Aliens had many layers, one of that was a take on the Vietnam war where a much much better equipped US Army were frustrated with the guerrilla warfare of the Vietcong. So just brining the Marines back alone, is not really a factor if a movie becomes good or bad. Just think of Aliens and remove Ripley from it, is the movie with the Marines alone as good as it is with Ripley? Does it always need Ripley? No, but you have to find a way to make it work, or it becomes a generic action movie.
@thespiken
3 жыл бұрын
@@ApologyforPepology I already have an amazing idea for a script which I’ve really thought out and have layered with details for the return of the USCM in an aliens film that is in the style of Prometheus where the alien is not the focus all while bringing back the glory of the movie Aliens with the colonial marines and its action, the film would have zombie like antagonists in a situation that is similar but different enough from Aliens to be original and exciting for not only a film set in the alien universe but also for films in general, I’m a bit secret about releasing any major details publicly tho as i am going to college to get a major in film production and I hope to one day make this film and additional alien films. We need more alien films in the universe/franchise and especially ones that are sprung off of Aliens from 86!(PS: my film would go way beyond Ripley and introduce a new female who would be way more awesome then Ripley herself, although no disrespect as I love the character.)

To be honest: Cameron has alot of my respect. The way he mishandled the Terminator-Franchise after T2 by not directing any of the sequels and then destroying so much of the lore with his script for "Dark Fate". Not directing a movie for over a decade. Instead of all the Avatar-Sequels he should fix the "Terminator"-Franchise once and for all. Either with one good movie or a decent TV show.
@rickyclarke1757
3 жыл бұрын
To be fair to James Cameron, after T2 he sold the franchise for $1 or $20(can't remember which one it was) & had to wait until the film rights came back to him years later. This is why we got shit "terminator" films after T2 because he wasn't involved, now that he's almost done with Avatar 2+3 he might have time to write & director a proper terminator film as a direct sequel to T2! - Hopefully! 🤞🤞
@kailee87

@@rickyclarke1757 actually he sold the right before showing T 1984 for 1$ then yes he got the rights in 2019 and ruined the whole thing with shitty DARK FATE. i hope he direct one more Terminator and that's it, a true sequel to T2

Terminator turned into Conservator! But yeah, a couple of documentaries came out recently about Victor Vescovo, who did a bunch of deep dives, also broke the world record of deepest dive, which Cameron was unfortunately not able to do when he did his dives. They showed that at the deepest point on/in Earth on the bottom of the Pacific ocean, they found a plastic bag or wrapper of sorts, which is just depressing to think about.

We lived in CDMX for a number of years, and we were at a hospital once, and we were chatting on the street. A middle aged woman pushed her slightly older sister out in a wheelchair along with a device to help her breath properly. Her sister looked at me and said "Mexico (city), it's not a good place" .. "there is too much pollution here"... :-/ .. Mexico City is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It's loaded with culture, museums, galleries, plays and so much more. Now... the cars are restricted to only driving 4 days/week. I did a video where i take a domestic flight..i went to cdmx in 2016 for a few weeks. I made a video at the Cancun airṕort, .. you can hear me wheezing in the video as i'm walking..
