Great presentation Colin!! I had a concern, so I went on my Forum and asked.... The Steering Servo. On most Euro Trucks, I'm told it's not a big issue, but on my 8X4, it IS. 16lb Truck, two Front Axles, possibly 20+ pounds of dirt in the Tipper, and a 25kg Servo.... Has caused that stock Servo Mount to actually TEAR off the Chassis!!! 😮😵 So I ordered an Aluminiuminium one. 😊 $25 insurance policy. You briefly mentioned that you were an Engine Builder. That's something we share!

Hi Carmine. Yes, you're right. The steering can become very heavy especially if one tries to steer when stationary. I think any servo used needs to match the load. And I'm not at all surprised your steering mount is giving up. These trucks are heavy! My only concern with using bigger servos (20+ Kg) is they can draw a huge amount of current, which can affect other controls, even the SFR-1 itself. If this happens, supply the voltage direct from the battery to the servo and only the signal from the controller.

The MFC can't even take a 13kg Servo! Browns out. My Beier runs off of a Hobbywing WP-1080 ESC.... and I run a 20A BEC. Power at least, isn't an issue!
