I am too sentimental for that as well. A couple of years ago, I had to have a diamond replaced on one of my bands. That same diamond fell out again a few months later. When I went to pick it up the second time, it looked perfect. They told me they replaced the whole band. It was identical to my last ring, but I started bawling right there in the the jewelry store. Even though it was identical, I wanted THAT ONE. My old one, because that's the one he proposed with. I still get sad thinking about it lol

I am a 25 year employee with Zales/Kay Jewelers. You likely have something on the underside of your ring irritating your finger. Take Windex about 10 squirts(more is ok too). in a cup of hot water and let them soak for an hour or so. Then take a clean soft bristle tooth brush and scrub the under side really well and the whole ring too. You can't mess this up. Just don't do near a sink where they can slip out of your hands and down the drain. 😉 Then rinse with clean hot water. and dry off with a paper towel. I'm sure I can find a KZitem video too to demonstrate. You've got this though. If you have any questions, let me know. Love you girl!!🥰

I finally came to the realization that my ring was perfect, but my husband decided to surprise me and had my diamond removed and put in a necklace. Then he had a diamond from one of my grandmothers rings put into my set! It was truly one of the most amazing things that anyone could do for me! Now I get to keep my old diamond closer to my heart, and a piece of my grandmother always with me.

I had ripped apart that sofa looking like 10 times. They were somehow just sitting right on top the middle cushion, not sure how since I had been removing the cushions shaking them . I flip furniture all the time. Wash the piece with TSP first may have to do that a few times then let it sit for a day to dry fully. If it is dark prime it with Bulls eye 123 it is a stain blocker and odor blocker. Then u r good to paint this process will stop any potential of anything bleeding through the paint. Depending on the finish that is on it u may need to sand lightly before priming. To be successful it's all in the prep work before u start. Hit me up if u have any questions. Good luck with your furniture endeavours

@@Michelle-by9fp it is an industrial cleaner but not harsh on hands or stinky. It comes in a carton home Depot carries it or any hardware store. It cleans all the ground in grime and dirt can even remove furniture wax that some old pieces have on them. It's a powder and u add water to the strength u need it for. Ps. That you made them a nice dinner during all of this going on is a freaking miracle. You sound loopy. I’m glad you found the furniture flip deep dive for a distraction. Just be careful of collecting junk while you are getting ready to move. Wait til after so you aren’t paying for all the new stuff to get moved also. Also wondered how you are able to transport all of these great furniture pieces. I know Alex has back issues. I love that you have help and someone to help get it in the house lol. I would say focus more now on getting boxes ans start packing the stuff you have time to do unless the movers are doing the packing also. I have a good moving tip which is this: Get a binder with paper inside, label your boxes by numbers on the box and in the notebook and write in the notebook what room and what’s in them so that you can find stuff when it’s all arrived in boxes that all look alike. Mark fge boxes by what room they should be taken into also (obvious but the number thing with the notebook with just notes on what’s in the boxes helps soo much!). Pack the basics you will need for the first few nights like clothes, toiletries and towels, bedding and toilet paper/hand soap and some kitchen soap, paper towels a sponge and some paper plates and cups or a stack of your fave plastic ones. Also trash bags and an emergency babysitter on speed dial. lol If you guys do coffee or whatever in the am, pack that too in the instant access basket or box. I like to pack that stuff in a couple of laundry baskets so it’s easy to transport and unload on the new house end. Load up on sharpie markers, buy a tape gun dispenser if you don’t have one and packing paper for breakables and padding. Keep that notebook with you when you go back and forth if you are moving in several days so you have the ability to jot what’s in a box on packing end and know what is in them in unpacking end. Stack boxes against walls in the rooms they belong in so it’s not a mega safety hazard for the littles for boxes or moved furniture to fall on them. Safety is important now as we saw by the paint can on foot. Wear closed toe shoes like sneakers, hair up and be super careful lifting so you don’t get your joints messed up or anything happening. I know you are super fried so just take it slow and take little mental health breaks or stop and do a yoga/meditation session to keep your head grounded to prevent injuries. Wish I could help babysit and go thrifting with ya. It’s fun times. I wish you didn’t have to do grief right now but I think this house is just the right time to help you have fun moving in and furnishing it. Don’t take on furniture flipping til after the move is settled some or you will have a million unfinished projects that stress you out. Ohmmmmmm.

We got two desks for free from a lady that was moving. We spray painted them I don't recommend doing it on a porch with really thin cheap plastic sheeting. The wind kept blowing the plastic up to the slots and I was walking on it with my shoes which got covered in paint and then I stepped on the porch and my shoes were wet from the paint so then I ended up making footprints on our deck. That was a fail The desk actually turned out pretty good but not perfect because I started to panic after that and I was like nope this is good I'm not doing another coat. We're fine. We even pulled the hardware off like the little knobs and we did gold spray paint on that and they turned out super cute. My girls are thrilled. And even though my paint job kind of sucks they definitely look amazing so I took pictures and sent them to the previous owner and she was so happy to see them and said that she was going to show her adult kids the transformation. I think she was really happy that the desks found a new home and new life and I was definitely very happy too. I also now know that if I am going to spray paint something one I am capable to I do need to hold the bottle upright like it told me to three I shouldn't have a three-year-old running around the yard while I'm trying to spray paint and four I need to do it in the grass on thick plastic sheeting not the cheapest kind money can buy. Also don't do it on a windy day. 🤣

No Kim STOOOOP, you never want to put paint over dry wall mud, it needs primed first! The marks will show when you’re done if it is not primed first. 😬 Painter here (30 years) and I am cringing.. lol

I've been flipping furniture. If you don't want to sand, apply a coat or two of Zinsser BIN. Any latex paint will stick to it and prevent chipping.

You can paint the cedar wardrobe on the outside and just leave it on the inside and if you ever want to give it away they can just sand down the paint on the outside. And you might be thinking of pine, alder, juniper, mesquite, or fir?

I've flipped a few furniture pieces, I have I need to do now. It's just getting cool enough I can work on it. My heart doesn't like heat, so if it's too hot I'll pass out. It's my fun party trick. And yes, I drink plenty water, and will be in the shade. But my heart doesn't care, it's such a finicky little thing. I'm so excited to see how you decorate the new house. And I have a cauldron too, I leave it up all year as well. I have it by my fireplace, which is full of salt lamps. I put seasonal decor in it. Mostly fake flowers, can't have real ones.. my dogs would eat them. I want to try and make an area in my kitchen for it. Such a great find.

My rings are not huge but it's the sentimental connection to them. I have flipped and redone furniture for years. I took an antique cabinet and put glass in the doors to make a book cabinet. Getting ready to do a kitchen island. I hate latex paint. I use semi gloss enamel for messy areas like the kitchen. My kitchen cabinet are only polyurethaned over home made walnut from a 100 yr old tree in the yard. Love your new finds. Take care. 💜💜💜💜

Dear Kim I hope you have a lovely day. I just wanted you to know that I play the lottery to not only win the money for a house, but to put everything in the trash and start new when we move. Yes that's what I dream about. Leaving all the stuff I hoarded over the years behind. No sorting, no packing, no unpacking. Just grab the papers we need, the pictures, the kids, the dog and byebye. Sending some love from Germany.

Are you me? We just moved about a month ago and didn’t have much furniture at all. So I started looking on FB market place and found some really nice cabinets and china cabinets. I also got my dinning room. All for free. I also started watching furniture flipping and thought I could totally do that, but I live in a smallish house and definitely don’t have room for that. But I’m definitely obsessed with watching flipping videos. We were going to do a Frozen family too since my almost 4 year old wanted to be Anna. The only place I could find one in my daughters size was Walmart. I decided not to dress up. Adult costumes are out of the price range of what I would spend on a costume. Maybe I’ll try to thrift something into a costume….

This summer we went on vacation and I left my rings home (I prefer wearing Qalo rings for my daily) but I made sure to hide them somewhere really good in case someone broke in. Well about a month ago I panicked, realizing I had never found them. My husband insisted I put them in a baggie inside a cereal box, but I told him I wouldn't have done that because I knew I would have thrown them away. Come to find out I took them out of their hiding spot right away when we got home, and I put them into a drawer that I open everyday. I was just blinded by the clutter in that drawer that I didn't realize they were there 😆 now I'm relieved that I found them. I just have to make sure I don't forget again that I found them.

Hi Kim. Congratulations on the new house.!!! I know how much your family needed a new home right away since you've outgrown your current home. I can relate to that because I fell out of love with my old home shortly after it was purchased since I discovered it was too small. I've been wanting to purchase a new one and hopefully I will some time in the future.

HALLOWEEN COSTUMES!! - I am so proud of myself so I thought I'd share the idea. Our family is also doing frozen and because my girls wear costumes all day long I wanted soft and durable. Let me tell you, the frozen pajama nightgowns are fantastic. My girls are in love with them and they aren't scratchy costume material. Maybe they'll still have jammies in her size...???

What a story Kim! So glad you found your rings… I do have a suggestion for you though. I have the same issue as you. I have a combination of allergies between chemicals from cleaning and being allergic to metals and I took my rings to the jeweler and they put a coating on my rings and it worked but until I got there someone suggested to me to try clear 💅 nail polish. Let it dry for days and then wash your rings in gently hand soap. Then just a little reminder to take your rings off if your someone like me that can’t handle to clean with gloves, if not clean with gloves. Hope this helps!! ❤️

@@thewadsquad Yes definitely seal your rings. It’s time to do mine again. I’m currently nursing a rash/burn from getting tomato juice trapped under my rings. Acidic/citrus juices, precious metals and sensitive skin don’t mix well. I use the Aveeno Baby eczema nighttime balm. That stuff clears up just about any rash. Loved the video today!

Hey Kim!! Yes...I have bought furniture on the Marketplace too! All the items I've purchased I refurbished. It's a very soothing hobby to take someone's old pieces and make them beautiful and your own. I bought a dresser I made into a "beauty dresser," Came out gorgeous! Paid $35 for it, fixed it up and sold it for $250. Was very happy and proud of myself, lol. Have a blessed day!

We sign at the end of the month, we agreed to giving them five extra days to move… Don’t ask me why it is a huge point of contention for me extremely frustrating considering we agreed to a 60 day closing when everyone else is closing in 30 days. But anyway! After their five days we have an out-of-town wedding so needless to say we will be moving when we come back in town which is still early November! So pretty soon! We are very excited
