Hi, I've been using a DXRacer desk for several years and have been shopping for a replacement so hopefully this helps folks out. The DXRacer desk top is made of real wood yes, and is VERY sturdy for the price. The wood quality is high. It fits through standard doorway when fully constructed. The cable management is excellent. It can be carried by one person. The front-angled slant for your wrists is extremely important for ergonomics if you have a real ergonomic chair (like a herman miller aeron, embody or steelcase leap for example). - However (IMPORTANT) this angled wrist piece also brings about the absolute worst thing about the desk....... the bump. There's a bump at the edge of the wrist-rest area, which means your mouse pad has to be moved up a good deal - which isn't an option for people with 34" ultrawide monitors due to their base size. And there's no viable wait to mount a monitor arm on the DX racer desk. What i've done to work around the problem of the bump is i've fashioned a custom angled mouse pad that keeps a flag surface at a 10º angle over the bump... constructed of carfully cut foam, a razer vespula solid mouse pad, and 2 other mouse pads cut and layered from thickest on back to thinnest on front... flush with the angle of the wrist pad area. The short version of all that angled wrist area drama is... If you LEAN FORWARD when you game (bad for your back!) and have a 27" or less monitor... the DX racer desk is superb. If you lean back when you game then you're going to want to have your mouse moving over top the bump at the edge of the wrist rest onto the wood area... in which case you are going to be very unhappy especially if you play shooting games. For the reason of the bump alone I plan to invest in the arozzi desk. No bump will be great, and the slight curve should hopefully let me put my monitor on the left (via an Amazon-premium arm mount) then put my right-elbow on the desk should I wish. Also, this may sound odd but that DXRacer cloth/tarp style thing on the back is like a perfect sling to rest your legs in at about the half-way or just above half-way height in the middle (this of course damages the cloth it and obscures the logo but i've been resting my legs on it daily for a year and it hasn't slouched down any further. EDIT/UPDATE October 24th 2017. After setting up the Arozzi Arena desk. Simply put I like it more than the DX Racer desk for 2 primary reasons - The height adjust from 28 to 32 inches and it has more room for my Acer X34 base. Comparison though: The Arozzi desk is not real wood and it won't last, unlike the DX Racer desk being real wood (albeit smaller surface area). Expect to need to replace it after 5 to 10 years as it warps. Also, to increase the desk's height what you essentially do is use a build-in screw to bend the metal base's inner cyclinder. If you need to adjust the height more than a few times... like ever... It's going to eventually need replacing. If you use the default height it shouldn't matter. And lastly, the Arozzi desk has one major flaw.... it wobbles luck crazy. I use a medium pile carpet and I was bothered by it a great deal. However, with it firmly pressed up a flat wall it doesn't wobble at all. This does however present a problem for people using monitor arts that clamp onto the end... but that wouldn't be a big deal either because using a monitor clamp on a desk that's this thin and not even real wood is a very very bad idea. So, TLDR: DXRacer desk - real wood, sturdy and stable. Has a terribly bad designed wrist piece that causess your mouse to bose tracktion as it goes over the bump.. but at the same time is ergonomic. Wouldn't recommend DXRacer for anything bigger than a single 27" monitor or for anyone who likes to really lean back when they play. Arozzi desk - Bigger surface area, doesn't have the bump (critical for shooting games), wobbles if not against a wall. With constant use I see the Arozzi not lasting as long as the DXRacer desk. Arozzi isn't a good desk for using monitor clamps due to thickness, fake wood and wobble, although DXRacer desk can't have a monitor clamp period.

I read a Norwegian customer review where the person claims the bolts are screwed into what looks like cardboard, and it fell apart. I guess the cardboard thing he mentions is MDF. The metal parts look good. but curious how the top held up. How has the desk held up long term? Translated this is what he wrote: ''NOT RECOMMENDED! Nice design and nice to look at, but the quality of the desk is awful, the screws are fixed in what looks like cardboard, so when we were to lift it into place after assembly, both side plates came loose from the legs, causing the whole arrangement to fall apart the ground while the cardboard flew. After a bit of gluing and re-assembly, it is still ragged and creaks terribly when moving. In addition, the network for the cables is complete idiocy''

Some people say to not trust the adjustable height deal with this and say to use what the min. / default is and so I was wondering what height is that for? I am 5'11" so ... Also I ended up with a tv (LG 43UM7300) that can't fit on my current pc workstation / gaming desk I have had for decades and I don't want to sell off anything so I thought well maybe invest in something different for a desk so I wondered about this here you are using. Can this tv fit on the desk and still leave room for keyboard and mouse no problem? Also only reason I need a new desk is because of the leg placement on tvs now these days. Absolutely annoying.

Hey man. Im about to pull the trigger on this desk. I play csgo on higher level. I dont intend to use the desk matt for my mouse but instead use my Logitech g640 matt. Is it optimal or ideal to have another mousepad ontop of the deskpad, or would you recommend removing it?
@LetsTalkNerd
3 жыл бұрын
I have not done so myself but I have seen others with the desk use a mousepad on top. You're just dealing with a higher elevation for your peripherals but as long as you are able to compensate that with your sitting height I don't see it as an issue. But you always have the option of removing it and if you won't use it then just sell it online. People will buy it as a replacement.

@LetsTalkNerd

All depends on the measurements. Not all full towers are the same size and not all monitors have the same size stand. If you want to know for sure you need to stand up your equipment how you would want it on the desk and then measure accordingly and apply whatever you get to the measurements I show in the video. Ultimately, I would say it will most likely fit but it's going to be tight.

Hi! I wanna order this desk, but maybe you can answer me one more question about the mousepad i haven't seen yet: Is there like a "square part" that you can buy somewhere if the mousepad should get broke? In the product description they say "changeable" - but is there like a single mousepad to buy somewhere? I'm asking because my PC has to be placed in the living room and we have a little child. So it would be a pity if he somehow breaks it and it would be GG for the pad.
@LetsTalkNerd
6 жыл бұрын
Hmm. I'm not entirely sure what you're asking. You can purchase an entire replacement mousepad for the desk or you can just not use the mousepad and purchase a normal mousepad to put on it. You can very easily clean the mousepad that covers the desk should anything be spilled on it. As far as tears go I can't imagine anything tearing it up.

I saw a complaint on Amazon saying that the desk shakes, is this true?
@LetsTalkNerd
5 жыл бұрын
It shakes if I purposely shake it. It hasn't been an issue for me even when intensely gaming. It also would be better if I had it on a solid floor but I have it on carpet at the moment and my house is a bit uneven. I don't think it is big of an issue as the Amazon reviews make it out to be but to each their own.

@@LetsTalkNerd Thanks I just bought one, my current desk shakes that's why I was concerned. Mostly positive reviews and it's heavy as you say so maybe the reviewer put it together improperly?

does the desk wobles?

Mine is on carpet so it does wobble a little bit. If on a hard surface it should be more stable.

how good is it with c clamps mounts :)
@LetsTalkNerd

They work but you have two options. One being you put it over the mouse pad like I do which makes it a little uneven and makes a print on the pad or you can do it under the pad and just have it sitting on top of the mount which to me looks messy.

Does the desk wobble?
@LetsTalkNerd
4 жыл бұрын
Yeah it does somewhat. Mines on carpet and my house foundation is a bit uneven as well so my desk prolly wobbles more than average. If you have it on a slod even surface you should barely notice it though. Even i don't notice with my setup unless I throw my hands down or something.

Caitlan-GAMING WOLF Khan Like an Led strip? That's what I have on there now but that was after the video. There's definitely room to put the LEDs on it l but I think it would be better put it on the underside or on the edges.

@LetsTalkNerd

I have not had an issue with my two mounted monitor stands. The built in stands that come with your monitors should work as well as long as they are not ridiculously large. This desk has a big surface area.

Hah it's all good man! I've had it for 5 months now and I'm still loving it. Although one thing I would change about would be high adjustment. I have a motorized standing desk at work that's almost the exact size as this one and it's pretty nice. It's called Uplift Desk if you'd be interested. It's more expensive than this though just FYI. Best of luck in your desk hunting!

Simply throw it in the washing machine at a low temperature with a light amount of mild detergent & air dry it to have it looking brand new.
