She was arrested for breaking the abortion clinics buffer zone. The woman in question is Isabel Vaughan-Spruce, the director of the U.K. March for Life. So this gives little question about her purpose in picking this particular spot to pray at? "freedom of religion." She could have prayed anywhere else in Britain and prayed with no problems. She decided to pray within the abortion clinics buffer zone. This has nothing to do with freedom of religion. You mustn’t understand what totalitarianism is. Totalitarianism is a pure or extreme form of authoritarianism. Authoritarianism is when the state exercises a high degree of control to limit dissent, opposition, protest, separation of powers etc. This is an example of the state exercising control over an ordinary citizens public speech. But, this was not done to punish or prevent dissent or protest. It lacked any motive of preservation of power. In my opinion or has nothing to do with authoritarianism let alone totalitarianism.
