Bob Jenny and Poppy, really sorry to hear Jenny was upset over some insensitive remarks made by the odd one or two jealous individuals, I for one enjoy your videos and the beautiful parts of the country you take us to, the effort and time you spend putting your videos together is much appreciated, please ignore the ignorant few who have nothing else in their sad lives but to criticise people who are having the time of their lives, it is jealously without a doubt. Jenny you are Bob's rock just as my wife is to me, keep the videos coming and all the valuable information regarding sites.

I have to concur with your comments on the video Bob, if people can’t be nice don’t judge others by being rude. I like seeing how you both get on with each other and and your travels and whilst new to caravanning I have picked up loads of tips and tricks from your travels in your Moho. You both have a very complimentary manner and clearly enjoy what you do. Don’t take any notice of dissenters. ✔️🍻

Hi Bob, Jenny and Poppy, My name is Alec and I just wanted to write a few lines to you to say how much I enjoy and appreciate your videos. I don't have a motorhome myself and am not interested in technical things. I am a musician and linguist and live in South Wales. I started watching your films during lockdown and am particularly fond of your trips and tours. Because I have such a lot to see, I watch a video every night and it almost feels like I am on the trip with you. This is so nice because to be in the company of such nice people as you and a lovely dog like Poppy (Tara too when she is there) is an absolute joy. I particularly like the walks you do and the scenery you see, the castles and places that you visit. I've even got into liking the toilet and shower reviews. Hopefully you will visit South Wales again soon and if I know you are coming, I may even come out to see you. I feel I owe you a drink.

Out of curiosity, do you legally have to have a rear view camera so you can see your car as I assume the door mirrors are useless as the car is thinner than the motorhome.
@BobEarnshawMoHo
3 жыл бұрын
Not a legal requirement to have rear view cameras, delivery vans don't come fitted with them. I think it should be a legal requirement if there's no clear view to the rear. I certainly wouldn't want to tow any trailer without a rear view camera.

Really nice couple, and you both put more will for me and my hubby to go and buy a motorhome and just go and start living our life, thank you. But I really would like to know if you don't mind me asking, Why did you choose a motorhome with towing a car instead of just buying a bigger car and a caravan?
@BobEarnshawMoHo
3 жыл бұрын
The first thing is we would need to have a fairly big car to tow a caravan with a similar layout. There is just two of us and we don't need a big car. The little Up! suits us and a small dog. The main benefit of a motorhome is that it is a flexible vehicle. When we stay at sites for shows and we stay in one place for a week, we can. We tow a small car with us for that. No need to move, and this way it is much like a caravan. The car is then used for driving to and from the show and for going out. When we want to travel around, stopping over night at places, we can. We don't take the car with us for these tours. Great for touring Europe or Scotland. When we want to go out just for the day, we have everything with us, toilet, cooking, fridge and even our beds. Great for visiting museums and castles. A motorhome can be used for many purposes, towing a variety of trailers, a car, or a boat, or a box trailer or trailer with bikes, motorbikes. The best thing is that everything is self contained and you can never forget things when you go out in it!

Looks like a nice site you are on there Bob And Jenny and Poppy deffinatly made herself at home straight away. I was meaning to ask you Bob when you first set off on a new tour starting at home how long does it take Poppy to settle down in her Dog Crate? Also i do not know if you have heard but Thetford have developed iNDUS smart sanitation system, you should take a look on the website it shows some videos on how it works and let us know if it is something you would consider in a Motor Home. It is definatly a game changer as they say and i do not see any reason why it could not be used in Caravans aswell.
@BobEarnshawMoHo
3 жыл бұрын
Yes, we heard about the new Thetford system, sounds a good idea, but can't see it being retro fitted. The other thought is don't you have to move the motorhome each time to empty it, or will the waste go in an Aquaroll?
@philipbutcher1971
3 жыл бұрын
@@BobEarnshawMoHo You would still have to move the Motor Home each time to empty it but not as often. They estimate the average time somebody empties their Porta Potti is every 2 to 3 Days and your waste water every 2 to 4 days and they say depending on the size of your on board Tanks which i think they could retro fit underneath the Motor Home as that is where Tanks Fresh and Waste are fitted thetford says you would only have to empty your waste tank about up to every 7 days. The way the new system works is if you take a shower in your motor home or you wash up after cooking etc or you just have a wash the dirty water would still go into a Grey water tank which has a filter system built into it which filers the water 4 times a day to keep it fresh and to make sure all the systems function properly then when you use a specially designed Toilet which weighs 7.5kg meaning less weight and you flush the toilet pressing either of 2 buttons one gives a short flush of 200mls of water and a long flush 500mls of water this saving water by only using what you need aswell as the water recycling system. That then goes into a Black Water Tank and you would have an app on your smart phone to check all the levels so you know when you need more water and to empty the waste tank. You then drive your motor home to the on site waste area park near but not over a grid like drain grid outside the motor home you open a door and in there sits a device which is connected to the waste system on a stand that turns out, you turn it out unfold the handle so it is up right, you then take it off over the stand it has a plastic pipe attached to it which is fairly long that is why you do not need to be right near to the waste grid, you then place this waste management device on the grid and under the handle there is a button or trigger you press to open a valve on the underside of the device you then go back to the motor home and there is a button you press that it then empties the Black tank waste followed by the rest of the filtered water from the grey water tank flushing the whole system clean without you having to handle anything. Then when its empty just press the button under the handle on the device to close the valve off then put the device back on its stand and coil the pipe back in like you would a hose pipe, you then fold the handle down and swing it back into the storage compartment. as for fluids there are 3 fluids for the system, A fluid for the black tank one for the grey tank and one for the toilet flush. Each bottle site into a special designed holder and each time you use the system depending on which flush you do short or long it automatically feeds the system with an accurate amount of each of the fluids and thetford says the fluids should last a month again i think that would depend on how many times you flush the toilet. If you look on Thetfords website all the information and videos are there to show how to operate the system and how it works. My guess is over time service stations and other garages and possibly special areas would be set up in big towns and cities where you can go and empty your waste tank and get fresh water, they would probably charge for this but if you say you did not want to pay for a site for a night if you chose to wild camp i would say the fee would be a fair bit less than a night on a camp site. I know thay have these kind of waste management areas in USA where RVERS go and empty there waste tanks and get fresh water without having to go to camp site.
