Freshpark Ramps are really dang cool! I’ll admit, at first I was apprehensive about the price on these guys but the wood options just weren’t great. Also, where I am I can’t put ramps out without having the dogs mess with them, kids jump on them and wind up hurting themselves, and have that worry that some rattlesnake wants to make a den underneath. But Lastly it really came down to portability so I can film in places that don’t have great jumps with faster vehicles, use them for my Mini-B and Mini-T in the driveway, jump stuff in the street easily, and never worry that the elements are going to destroy them or blow them away. Gets windy up here in Hill Country!
I’ve been to some great yards with dirt ramps and some serious plywood and plexi builds but unfortunately that won’t work for my application. So let me tell you about some of the properties about these ramps that I really like.
First off they’re made of Powder-coated cold rolled welded steel with rubber feet making it super strong, durable, and portable. Which gotta be true because I just copied and pasted that. But what that means for us is that they’re quite element resistant and extremely durable. Actually the ramps you’re buying in their RC section are rated for BMX bikers. Take a look at some of the options they have. They’re pretty cool. Really close to buying the big jump but also like the idea of trying to flatten out this yard and make a tracker with a couple double rollers. Now in the rare case some kid - yeah you! Has read this far, your wood ramp or plastic skateboard ramp is great! Don’t let anyone tell you different. Anything you can jump with is going to be excellent! But for some of us that are using multiple locations often or can’t store them outside this is the best option so far, and let me tell you, I researched a lot!
The biggest issue I came across with wood was just how banged up it got splintering me as I went. These can be bent and bent back, scratched and scraped or rusted and repainted, and are going to handle RC cars for a VERY VERY long time.
So? Any downsides? Yup. The first is they’re not light. I’m thinking you’d have to be 10 or older to march around with these guys. Next the legs don’t fold. Since these need to be sturdy for BMX or a motocross guy the bolts for the legs once fastened don’t allow for movement. Since I bought these for portability I’m just going to make a pin system to make the legs fold down. Won’t be hard.
All in all the day was a blast. Me and the boys had fun and that’s what RC is about!
Final note - I got these in October and they were sold out everywhere. I had to wait a good while to do this video so y’all could get your hands on them. I got mine on Amazon and they were literally the last two for at least 2 months. Also I called Freshpark and so far this is the only color these metal ones come in.

NOTE - I AM NOT ENDORSED BY ANY MANUFACTURER! I CALL IT LIKE I SEE IT! If I were to receive something from a company you’d still get an honest reaction. I love RC and hope to attract as many people to the hobby as I can. Wouldn’t be doing anyone any favors if I endorsed junk. (watch my Remoking Thunder or HPI King Crawler if ya want the proof!)
