That thing is amazing! Arrma killed it with that buggy.

Nice video! Did you measure the temperatures of the ESC and motor after your 6S runs? Wondering if they get really hot or stay relatively cool. Looking forward to more running videos! Thanks.

Sounds much better than the Ofna 1/8 buggy. As far as racing this buggy would you recommend going 4s or keeping at 6s? It's more of a clay indoor 1/10 track I'll be running on. Thanks

I'd probably look more at 4s or 5s for your needs. 6s is tons of power and that could be an issue. I even wonder if your indoor track will allow 6s. Have fun.

Got it outside, it makes my hpi 4.6 Truggy look like a snail. Need to look at the brakes/reverse. As when u press forward on the trigger, it doesn't seem instant? Or is that how it is? Cheers Adam

Blx 185 doesn't mean 180 or 185 amp esc, version 1 and 2 only have 150 amp esc

The 23 tooth pinion, which one did you use? I have one on the way, hopefully one with a good esc! It does look incredible!

Matthew Fant You can use any Mod 1 (5mm) pinion. It will go very fast with a 23T, so have fun but be careful.

Will do. Once you said mod 1 and I looked it up online, I must admit, I face palmed. Was having one of those moments in rc, lol. I'm looking forward to it. I have the slash 4x4 ultimate lcg, and on 3s and the 19 tooth pinion, that thing is a monster also! At least 60mph easy, lol.

Matthew Fant 60mph? The Typhon 6s with 23T pinion will hit that speed 1/2 throttle... LOL

I cannot wait bro. Yeah, once they hit 60+ it goes into insanely quick territory. Great work on youtube, and that new Talion looks gorgeous!

thanks for the info..What run times are you getting using the 2 x 3s 4400's?

***** I'd say about 20 minutes or so. This is mostly on hard surface as I'm tuning my Typhon more as a speed buggy.

Only a quick question, I'm told that lipos cant run below 3v per cell. Is this typhon already set up to cut out before this drops this low if running on 2x 3s lipos? Never used lipos before and dont want to damage the packs on first use. Thanks Adam

I'm not sure what the LVC (low voltage cutoff) is on the Typhon, but I think it is default at 3.2v. You should get a cheap lipo battery checker that you can easily connect to the lipos and test while on the buggy.

Quick noob question; the options at an online retailer offer a TrakPower LiPo 4S 14.8V 5600mAh 60C Hard Case Deans but everyone talks about 6S. What is the way to get 6S, is it a different battery? Thanks and very nice vid.
@lcturnatrax6690
9 жыл бұрын
jackkirbybronze Yes, it's a more powerful battery. Just search "6s lipo" and that's what you want. Some vendors with good prices and good lipos are: smc racing, spc racing, valuehobby, and hobbyking (usa). You can run two 3s lipos OR one 6s lipo. And you'll want "Deans" or "T-connectors" on them (same thing). Enjoy.

is this Arrma Typhon better quality than the Duratrax 835E ?
@lcturnatrax6690

Frank Nap I'd say similar quality. Both are pretty durable. Both come with waterproof electronics. The main difference is of course 6s v. 4s out of the box. I'd go with which you prefer in that regard. I run both pretty hard and they are holding up fine so far.

That's a big pinion for sure. I figured you did some sort of cutting or dremel work on the motor mount. Let's see some speed runs with that 34T. Keep an eye on the motor temps.

if you can only 1/4 throttle cause your worried about the speed than you have never driven a fast rc car lol it is a quick rc car but i was expecting more,

Actually I said "1/3 or 1/2", not "1/4" FTR. But regardless, I'm not "worried about the speed" mate :-) I'm simply saying it's got a ton of power and running on the street with 1:1 scale cars going up and down, I ain't gonna smash the throttle. Everything in context...thanks for stopping by.
