Unbelievable --except that it's Art Blakey, so I get it. I always listened to this version on the Live in Paris '60 CD and wondered how they got the rhythms. So glad I finally get it. We are so lucky to be able to access this kind of precious video. Blakey's power comes through even on this medium.

AMAZING....I saw the messengers when I was 16 years old at Fat Tuesdays in Manhattan which is not there anymore the year was 1981, I'll never forget it...thanks for the great video....

The camera angles and edits lends the visual story to the film shirts of the ‘30s and remind me of a “hot” swing session featuring Duke and his orchestra. Those hits during the bass interlude tho’… 💥🥁✨
