I've been meaning for a while to make a video talking about art block, but this past year was really difficult for that, and then art block turned into burn out and I just didn't feel I was in a place of authority to give advice about it. I still don't think it's my place to give advice about it, but I thought my experience might be helpful for anyone else who is currently struggling.
There is a lot more that can be said about this topic. I didn't get into the particulars of why my burn out happened, but I don't think that those details are necessarily important. Everyone will have different external pressures that contribute to burn out, so it's just a matter of figuring out what it is for you and then working on them with intention. I hope that I was able to express what I wanted in a way that might be helpful to someone else.
I also wanted to add that there is no small thing when it comes to mental health. You may see your situation as not enough of a struggle to seek help, but every struggle is valid, no matter the size.

I was also able to access some free mental health sessions through my family doctor free of charge. This may also be an option in other provinces across Canada.
www.betterhelp.com is also an affordable option.
