Hi Phillip and Oliver - These session are spellbinding. I was drawn to comment on your Dunlop because we have a line of eight huge Elmtrees in our back paddock in NZ. Our property is called Elmwood. The Elms were probably planted around 150 years ago - so relatively young from a Northern Hemisphere perspective. However, they dwarf us in much similar proportions as the folk in the painting. Thanks for taking the time to post these gorgeous videos.

I've only just discovered this series, and it's wonderful. I inherited most of my father's paintings, not a famous artist, but I love most of his work. There were two I didn't want to keep, one was because it was too big to be seen in the sort of small homes that I, being single and not particularly well-off, tend to live in, the other I found the colours too dull. They both found homes where they would be loved and wanted because they fitted the context: the very big one, I felt should be in a public setting, he'd been a librarian and a book-dealer, and most of his paintings were of Llandrindod Wells. So I offered it to the local council there, in the hope that they'd hang it in the library, in fact it has pride of place in the associated museum and I've seen them post it on facebook. The other was of the ruin of a school, so I offered it to the new school that has replaced it. In each case, the context makes the painting special.
