Nothing compares to what the 80’s did in music. Any genre, new, innovative, never heard this type of music, instruments….. that they did this back then was amazing. Brilliant !! Song is sick !!!

Nearly all music videos made in this era were shot on videotape, not film. There isn't much that can be done to improve the quality of even the master tapes. As to how they should be enjoyed, remember these videos were made to be watched on television. That's why they were shot on videotape in the first place.

Oldest footage should be the ballet dancer at 3.57, it definitely precedes World War I. More than 100 years old ... Newest footage should be the street scene at 1.58, probably early 80s, shortly before Legs was made ...

@port nut No, in the 90s we had techno, later breakbeat, drum'n bass until dubstep after 2010. If I don't go out and dance any more it's because I'm too old and too fat. I guess there are still some people at Deadmau5-concerts, but no idea if they dance ...

The "modern" American doesn't have the attention span to sit through an entire dance sequence in a movie; honestly, people would walk out (unless it's a legal marijuana state, they'd enjoy it).
