Bob Uecker is so funny, that even Jesse Ventura, who was supposed to dislike him, kept breaking character and laughing out loud during his commentary at Wrestlemania 3 and 4. I can only imagine how funny Bob must have been in real life. If even Norm McDonald gets puzzled at your comedy, you KNOW you must be damn good.

Notice how, even back during the earliest days of “I punched a guy during my MadTV days and got arrested for coke,” Artie can’t keep the details straight - seems almost like he’s stitching a couple of different stories together, or maybe part of the story happened to some other person other than Artie. This pattern generally holds true over the years.

In the 1960s, LAD pitcher Don Drysdale and STL 3B Ken Boyer had an intense rivalry where they'd prank (or "bag") each other in increasingly extreme fashion until they both went way too far. One night in Milwaukee, Drysdale was in a hotel room with his favorite prostitute when Boyer had a cop buddy of his run a fake raid on Drysdale. The cops dragged Drysdale and the hooker into the hotel lobby and loudly and embarrassingly pretended to arrest them, only revealing that it was a "bag" once they were both handcuffed in the cop car. In retaliation, Drysdale had his close friend Frank Sinatra get a couple of mafia goons to kidnap Boyer at gunpoint in the parking lot after a Dodger game, throw him in the trunk, drive him out to the desert and make Boyer think they were going to kill him, only revealing the bag was on him once he was crying and begging for his life.
