this vlog has accompanied me editing my own videos and photos after a weekend of taking photos. it's nice watching someone who is also trying to find a flow, because I'm finding that there really isnt one set way to do stuff. you just have to move with your cycles of energy and not make the structure too complicated. i think youre doing a great job at continuing to show up and share your feelings all while taking care of yourself when you need it. ♥

i relate so much to your discussion on toxic shame, fear of abandonment, needing to constantly please others etc. - things started getting significantly better for me as I started to journal and meditate way more often, as well as creating a routine for myself and spending more time alone. but its hard work, it takes so much consistent effort over a long period of time, and I do still have my struggles with my mental health, but Im soooo happy I took those steps! It looks like youre taking a lot of the same steps too, so trust the process, I promise it will get easier! and try to be easy on yourself as you go through it! also i love the oni drawing you made :D

I have a friend I run by the things I'm going to take on before I commit because I have the tendency to take on way to much. And most people don't come to these realizations until way later in life. It's a tough path to go through and process in a healthy way so that's so awesome for you. You'll get to a place of contentment beyond those learned behaviours and what a beautiful thing that will be. You got this.

ooh I really like the plant watering outro tradition lol I really relate to what you're talking about and I just want to say that you're on the right track and just keep moving through discomfort and eventually it won't feel so scary and bad to speak up when you need space or can't do something bc you need down time etc. and people who truly love you and want the best for you will respect and understand that a boundary is not a personal attack but rather a relational conversation about How to be in relationship with you and truly be close to you in an authentic way---you deserve that just as much as everyone else (:

This just popped up in my feed. You're a very deep thinker, unraveling your subconsciousness with much care and precision. On the topic of acceptance, it can be hard for me to strike a balance too. It isn't easy to perform at work while juggling with my own emotions, so there is that innate emotional suppression. Ultimately, I've accepted my own neurosis and idiosyncrasies; and while I don't ask others to understand, I hope that I can make it up in other areas. I hope you find your own comfort zone in time. Our egos are very fragile, aren't they? Be gentle and patient with yourself 😊

The drawing of the girl is a high jumper I did that in middle school/highschool and I actually jumped 6 feet! I made my couch lose his mind lol (I'm not a tall person) i also wanted to say your thoughts on sponsorship is the same as mine like I wouldn't be opposed to it if it was something that I was really into but also I don't want to be a KZitemr I want to be an artist also I am very strong minded so when I put my mind to it I do it I don't really do the easy way out my mind likes to feel accomplished off my hard work so putting the time and effort into my art instead of doing sponsorships will really make me feel a lot more accomplished as an artist but maybe one day I will get to that point where I have the time to do both I'm still working on just getting my business started. I have the same problem as you feeling like if I'm not doing my all and being perfect for everyone then I am going to lose people. What I have been starting to do is trying to figure out where this thought process even started because I feel like once I know when it started that I know why that mindset started. Then I can work on that myself also needs the same kind of love so lately I have been working on doing my same routine with others for myself. With that I have canceled plans, I have done less for people when they treat me poorly, taken more time to the things I want, focused more on my needs, set more boundaries, and that is actually slowly making me feel stronger for myself which gives me more strength to help and care for others when I make time for it. So maybe that can help you a little bit? No matter what you're doing great not one single person is perfect and the fear of being criticized is ok because no one likes it but working on how you react to it will actually do wonders. People well hate on you for doing one thing that they wouldn't do but you're not them their choices are for them yours are for you and it's ok to be different and it's ok to contradict yourself sometimes because sometimes you grow and you become a different person throughout life. The thing about social media is everyone has an opinion and they don't know your life they could see you do one thing and judge you for that one thing not knowing all the wonderful things that you do throughout the day to everyone to yourself even. I support you!

@@leechuts I'm proud of you! Just now growing is a lot of ups and downs and sometimes you can move a few steps forward and then a few steps back, but the good thing is nothing is constant! No matter what things will always change and so try not to be too hard on yourself. You got this even if you have to take Little steps to reach your big goals. ☺️

for the demon illo I’m using ink bleed hard from Koteri Ink’s Patreon ( www.patreon.com/koteriink ), and the grainy texture shading brush is a customized ver of Jingsketch’s edge control brush! ( jingsketch.gumroad.com/l/JingsketchBrushes ) I tend to use these two sets, as well as a bunch of the procreate default brushes (primarily hb pencil customized in different ways) - hope this helps!
