I remember the first time I got my paws on AR I started playing with the painting tube and the palette knife. It felt so nice being able to "waste" so much paint without spending a dime 😂

You are literally the best ArtRage teacher on KZitem. I didn’t even know about ArtRage until I stumbled across your Pear painting video. At that moment I was sold and went all in buying the program and a tablet haha and it truly is the best program for me, been loving every minute and I’ve learned so fast by following along with you on your paint for fun vids, just picking up little techniques here and there and trying them on my own reference images. I think you’ve adopted a lot of characteristics from your old paint teacher and I believe the way you teach is how he taught you with the same passion and encouraging personality. I appreciate you taking the time making these simple, yet highly effective vids! Thank you!

How to do marbling effect? I make canvas and candles with a liquid medium mixed with acrylic paint for the marbling effect. How to do this in Art Rage?

although i consider myself an intermediate artist, it is still great to go back to the basics and from another persons POV. because we can glean little hints and tips and tricks that we may not have considered before. Thank you for the series and I hope you continue all the way to expert level. Looking forward to the next one Daniel thanks.

Firstly thank you so much for these tutorials, they appear just what I've been looking for. One question, you mentioned that you have the DELL Canvas in the first video of the series. Were you able to get the tilt to work with Artrage 6 using the Canvas? Best W.

I recall getting the tilt to work with the Dell Canvas. I have it at my office at work... but we have been working remotely since the pandemic. I will let you know when I can get in there! Thank you again!

I love artrage, but even with that love I've struggled to keep working at it. Seeing these tools in this method is changing my thinking when I approach the program. I wanna be an artist that puts ArtRage on the map as a legit professional software. So thank you for the motivation.

Thank you for the encouragement! It is a great tool... but it is a little hard to master. It has some oddities similar to real painting. I would love to see your goal realized!!! I think this software deserves it!

@@DanielIbanez I honestly feel that ArtRage is VERY slept on as an art program. Everybody and their mother loves Clip Studio and of course PS, it's an industry standard. ArtRage does different things that aren't as...streamline from the start. I bought ArtRage because PS was just very confusing for me when I wanted to paint. I like all the quirky aspects of Artrage, it's simple, yet complex. I will master it one day.

@@robthelimegrenade1098 I agree with all of that. Very well said... I keep finding new things about the software and I've been using it forever. It's deceptively deep

Hello Daniel. I am a traditional oil painter but have been spending some time in Art Rage. I have used Photoshop, Painter, Sketchbook Pro but I find Art Rage's straight forward approach with oils more closely related to painting traditionally with oils. I find your tutorials and painting videos very good and would like to become a patreon. However, I am wondering if you get into some of the custom brush creation and creating some of the canvas and other effects within some of your work.
@DanielIbanez

Thank you! I would say 90% of my work is done with settings that are in the software... so nothing fancy there. I don't use any custom canvases... but patreon supporters do get all my brushes!
