WHAT IS PARAPHONY? 😱 ▼ Quote; newjazz @ AudioFanzine: “In a strictly monodic system, all oscillators are triggered at the same time when pressing a single key. In a paraphonic system, each oscillator can be triggered individually by a different note, however, the signals produced follow the exact same processing chain, like in a monodic system. ▼ For example, if you play a C and you wait for the attack and decay times of the amp envelope to elapse to play a G, while still holding the C, the G will overlap the C, but it will incorporate itself into the sustain time of the latter's envelope, without triggering a new envelope in turn. “ - End quote ▼ Source: www.google.se/amp/s/en.audiofanzine.com/sound-synthesis/editorial/articles/amp/polyphony-paraphony-and-multitimbrality.html ▼ Another good source is this post from Marc Doty aka “Automatic Gainsay” over at FaceBook: m.facebook.com/AutomaticGainsay/posts/589934551075953 ▼ Paraphony is not really about how many notes one play but with the articulation of each note. I’ll have to make an in depth video about this!

I’ve been reading the manual and Arturia say some functions like after touch might not function correctly. Very impressed with this synth and I’m getting ready to pull the trigger.

Micro Banshee What issues was your unit having?
@MicroBanshee
5 жыл бұрын
Constant unsolicited parameter changes/saves, [the microfreaks dispay screen is constantly showing these changes] some of the patches abrubtly cut off/out while playing, some of the patches wildly change characteristic while playing, midi commands not working [stop] for the sequencer via external gear. Some of these issues similar and the same as mine have been reported on the Arturia microfreak forums, I have informed Arturia of my specific problems and am awaiting a reply.

Music maker these days have more cameras than photographers :) and still one of your hands is busy! You need a microphone stand, buddy! Loved your spelling confusion and things like that. As a Russian dude practicing my written skills only on youtube and reddit I totally understand the struggles. All the joking aside - thanks for a quick demo. Can't wait to buy it myself. I think it's gonna be a perfect companion for my Minilogue XD. I watch lots of videos and I still don't understand what paraphonic synth is. I'm confused. If you say it can play 4 notes at the same time...isn't it 4 voice polyphony? What're the limitations of paraphony compared, for example, to minilogue? Is it somehow affecting ADSR or filter per voice? HELP :)

You can get 128 steps using the both the A and B sequences. Now if only there was a way for A to automatically switch to B right when it's done. The trick, I guess, is to have your finger hit the B button right at the end of that 64th note.
