I love that you're having this conversation. I'm from the Caribbean and I see every day how we are losing our indigenous ways of life due to globalisation, industrialisation, capitalism etc etc etc. I grew up picking fruits from my neighbour's trees, picking bush tea & seasoning in my yard for my grandmother...learning how to live in harmony with nature, the weather, and all the planting/harvest seasons. Now everything is imported, store-bought, wrapped in plastic and covered in chemicals. And the rates of lifestyle diseases, cancer, hypertension etc etc have skyrocketed in recent years. It makes me really sad to see how we're losing our culture in these ways. Yes to everything you said. As close to source as possible...especially if you can grow it yourself 💯🌱💗⭕️✨️

Your comment about eating local brought back a memory. When I moved to Kentucky in 2012, I got some produce from a friend who had a pick-your-own garden. I ate it and became violently sick. Thought it was just a stomach bug. But it happened the next time and then again. I told her about it. Her granny was there and came over and said, "Girl, you're not used to our dirt. You go out in the garden and eat some dirt." Skeptical but also kind of intimated by an 90 pound 80-year-old woman staring me down, I ate some dirt. And I was never sick from eating homegrown local produce again. I still do not know if it was the actual eating of dirt or the fear of God put in me by her granny. I'm in Washington State now and got violently sick from eating local clams at an established restaurant, where no one else got sick. There is no 80-year-old granny here to tell me but I think I need to go eat local sand and drink sea water before I eat clams again.

Our bodies are going through so much change right now. I also stopped sugar for a while recently, but actually found that my body was responding better with a little unrefined sugar / complex carbs / fruits. No processed foods. Everyone's body and journey is going to be their own. Love the message.

Thank you for the beautiful healing. I think your diet may well be doing something energetically, beyond your mood. Most Reiki practitioners I experience have an airy or luminous or ethereal quality to their Reiki energy (and non-Reiki energy healers sometimes have a fiery quality to their energy), but yours had an earthy quality that I've not experienced in Reiki before. It made for a nice balance, as the ethereal type gets me in my head and inspired, while yours was grounding and bringing me more into the present, and people need both.

Lots of respect for bringing us this energy. Food really shapes the mental state. Things are more bearable with more clarity when I eat minimally processed, especially in the mornings. Just mixing some chopped apple with cinnamon, oats, pepitas, hemp seeds, hazelnuts, and a tiny bit of oat milk. No added sugar, tastes a lot like apple pie. It's summertime now though so i'm liking strawberries with it instead of apple.

Thank you so much for this video. This is something I am struggling with a lot. The way you phrased it, as close to the source as possible, might be really helpful for me. Instead of No Sugar, No Junk Food, it becomes about moving closer to our source, and a fuller, more complete version of the food we eat. That speaks to me.

its funny because i also have gone on a sugar cleanse, because i would like to personally experiment with how these processed foods affect my mental health, alongside physical aswell. i am hoping to maybe one day cut out very processed foods, but i know it will be hard, especially as a student. i admire your commitment man.

thank you for these videos, i've been subscribed for a while and i always find them so calming, they help give me peace of mind. recently had some dark times and experiences and i made it through, now i can't unsee the world and all within it as it is. and it's still beautiful, there is still love and life and death. so many are afraid and i am too sometimes, but i finally feel like i have my own sound soul, mind, and body, together again. something i have felt at times in life but been discinnected from. and it isnt something anyone should have to fight to keep, but sometimes we do. we're so human, and so other, and the time we have and this planet is a gift. thanks for helping with restoring peacefulness in myself and others with your distance healing 🙏🪄✨️🫂☀️🌾🌿🦜

Loved this… I find myself on a similar trajectory. Observing what I’m doing to myself and what’s being done around me. Just started juicing and taking in more fruit in general! Truly freedom starts inward - freeing the body and mind from toxins and addictive substances is a challenge but one worth embracing! Thank you for this 🙏🏾😊 - the Reiki and wisdom is much appreciated - continued good vibes to you and yours

I'm really starting to think that foods carry vibrations that either match or don't-match my body's own vibes. All this processed stuff isn't nearly the vibrational match as the real thing and I'm really feeling it lately.

Im growing veggies and have to make myself swallow it while gagging xD but i instantly feel soooo good in my stomach and body for hours, just went through this with a cherry tomato, im still on the high. XD Also idk why i cant stomach fresh veggies(maybe its the parasites or my body isnt ever used to being force fed veggies instead of processed crap xD), i threw up yesterday trying to eat one of my cherry bomb peppers xD too much pulpyness caught me 1000x off guard. I had just ate some buffalo chicken too so that shit BUNRT MY NOSE

@rarefingo I am a steady state marijuana smoker take a couple puffs every hour or so. I was a knuckle head drunk and I started cutting back by letting myself get drunk no more than once every 3 days, then once a week, then once every 2 weeks, then once a month I got drunk now I have one beer a month whether I want it or not. Marijuana was my mood stabilizer through this process and continues to be. But anyway I am trying to work with the less concept with sugar, bullshit fake food, carbs etc. You definitely are sending out healing towards me in your videos. You are tough loving yourself and I am a man so I catch your drift. Do your best brother then no regrets and at least you went for it and are not a coward.

Dramatic as hell lol I still consume meat and animal products to keep up with my training but I’m far more conscious about the sourcing. I know it’s not all perfect but imma go get the finest ground beef I can and make some salsa from scratch before I ever pull up to Taco Bell yk? Only giving this example because I didn’t last night 😂 and thank you btw, many blessings.
