FUN FACT Actually, Asake is a unisex name. In fact, in Yorubaland, only a few names are gender specific, like Iyabo, Babatunde etc. Originally, any gender could bear Asake, as its meaning carries no gender correlations just like most Yoruba names. Mostly, the meaning of Yoruba names don't cater to the child's gender. However, once the Colonialist came, imposed their ways and left, we informally altered our naming system to care for gender, giving the female affectionate names, and the male those that reflect courage and strength. In reality tho, both genders can bear those names. I know an old man named Ronke, for example, and one woman with Adetunji as first name.

Asake is really not easy to define he's a rapper, a Tupac kind who infuses a lot of melody in his songs ..his base is strong plus a lot of harmony & horns in that back ground .. Nigerian music is going to take over the world..

This guy has discovered a formula to make hits. Just use the choir effect on his songs with good beats + his amazing delivery and you get a banger. 💯🔥🙌🏾

@@MultiTawas Asake uses elements of Amapiano, but blends other instruments like Violin and uses the Yoruba Fuji voice and the the choir effect. His style is a rich cocktail of many genres, but cooked in the traditional Yoruba Fuji voice.

I know you like good music. Fuji Music over 20years back with similar vibe to Amapiano kzitem.info/news/bejne/tJxsynmYkKFlaWU . Yorubas have been vibing " Amapiano" via Fuji over 20years back. A lot of Musical genres from around the world can easily be performed by Nigerian Artistes because we have the Highly Rythmic Melanated population for uncountable diversed Traditional and Hood music genres untapped . No Vibe is new under the Sun.
