Hey I was just there! Even participated for a bit. I gotta say, that shrine is heavy, especially if you are a little taller than the others.

I know how you feel. I got to carry the mikoshi for a short period of time when I went to the Sanja Matsuri with a friend, and it was rough. Very heavy even with all the people sharing the weight. And, I am about 6'3 or roughly 190cm tall, so I had to lean over quite a bit to not throw everyone else off. I eventually realized that I was not going to be able to make it all the way without being able to stand up, or else have a very sore back, and I did not want to stand up straight and mess up everyone else, so they found a replacement person and I stepped away. Everyone was really nice about letting me give it a shot and when it ultimately didn't work out. Sanja Matsuri is a wild experience.

OMG! John-san, I was there at Asakusa on Sunday 20th May 2018 at abt 6.30pm onwards. I saw parts of the Matsuri festival too. We didn't know there would be a night matsuri. - We had come from Nihonbashi Bridge area 日本桥(following yr KZitem trail). I saw that alleged bomb mark on the stone railing itself. Then we took the subway to Asakusa area + had cakes + drinks there & shop and bought so much stuff. I bought 2 Banana cream rolls, senbei crackers, lipstick pouch, pouches, daifuku and etc. (😂Wanted to buy so many things but cannot fit into luggage already). - We had one big Delsey hard luggage (suitcase) + 3 duffel bags. All luggages were used to store Japanese confectionary, souvenirs & lots of senbei/mochi/Ginza strawberry cakes/Tokyo banana rolls....😅➡️We keep buying and buying till we forgot what we had bought earlier. ● One luggage was for Omiyage (gifts to family/relatives/close friends et al). I am old-school, must buy gifts for them as this is my 1st trip to Japan. ● We followed yr KZitem trail in many places. We went to Shinjuku, Shibuya, Harajuku and Omotesando. We FOLLOWED yr specific instructions thru Takeshita street, and found the hidden gorgeous shrine. I was so touched and happy to find it! ● Then we went to Ginza and followed yr KZitem 2017 银座区 trail as well. We were in Tokyo for 6 days. And I packed my schedule back-to-back with yr KZitem video help. ➡️Followed yr instructions on how to Suica card + navigate around Narita airport. ● without your useful KZitem videos, I don't think I could navigate Tokyo so successfully!! We went to the Meiji Jinggu shrine at Yoyogi Park too. Ate there at the Yoyogi Park restaurant. The kaiseki meal was sooo🌸🌸beautiful till I was speechless. Shed tears of gratitude while eating...haha. ● We left Tokyo on 23rd May 2018 with a heavy heart. I teared on the Nex express train while on way to airport. ● Anyway, before going to airport, we ate the Furuta Unagi-don on 12th flr of Odakyu dept store. The eel is so fresh and grilled on the spot. It was Yen3400 for a medium bowl. ● At Narita airport, we ate Sendai grilled beef before entering Immigrations. And we bought Tokyo Banana + Eel and lobster crackers and Ginza strawberey cakes + lots of chopsticks etc. ● We also visited Kawagoe at Saitama prefecture for day trip using Suics card. We have 2 Tokyo subway apps. And our Wifi gadget is from Changi Airport SINGAPORE. ● We were sooooo excited and happy to be in Tokyo. Visited Kabukicho + Roppongi Mori Towers too. Went up to 52nd floor observatory tower. Shot a video there with my phone! 😍All in all....Super happy trip. But it was too short for me. 6 days is not enough. We miss Tokyo alot and will be back in Nov 2018 again, hopefully. 😊Thank You John for all your videos!! Maybe next trip I can meet you. I wanted to pass you a red packet 红包for yr wedding. Take care and hope to see u one day, John. Tokyo had been very very kind to us. I am back in Singapore now...but I think I left my spirit in Tokyo. heh.🙋♀️ Florence Leow Singapura Toa Payoh Lorong 6 estate

John sometimes your live videos do not stream in 720p and the quality to watch on TV is really bad in 480p

What I dont see here are dolls, wearing traditional Japanese clothes. Do they sell them in shops? In Germany they have such nice ones, for exemple, and in Holland, but I dont see them here.😀.

Hi John good souvenirs to me the Sanja matsuri, I saw also the small Mikoshi and small Taiko for children, they have also for them the turn like women too, very interesting that all can have their own Mikoshi. It was one of my best festival. Thank for sharing that enjoying!

Which is why I warned about it to start :P it gets better over time. I try to avoid events and big festivals because of this but I feel I should still try for those watching it live. There are certainly a lot of people who will upload videos on it. You know, I think next year, we'll have 5G and the video will be much clearer.

I know that many times in the US certain cell companies will set up temporary mobile cell towers to handle extra traffic I wish they did that in japan. Still glad that you at least try to show us. Thanks
