This is a genius work of art made by Riverscuomo. A musician i respect the most. Appreciate this cover by Ash

Stunning. But 6:46-6:52 in Weezer's original version is one of my all-time number one moments in popular music.

Indeed, you can't beat the payoff of that gradual build-up.

Goes hard, i like the differences because i think covers should be more like an alternative to a song in another band's style than just a carbon copy. cough cough, teal album.

Just the bass line in general it's missing a few notes

@@simcardo777 The bassline is played "incorrectly". To generalize, in the original there are "pull-offs" (a string instrument technique where the fretting hand pulls off from a string in order to quickly play whichever lower note is being fretted), which are missing here. I'm not 100% sure this is the only change, but it is the most noticable one. I'd have to transcribe it or check a tab to be sure of the exact changes and I can't really be bothered. The glitch you are referring to is most likely irrelevant to what he means. Now, calling this wrong is a bit unfair, as there are no rules to art. It may be that Ash simply put their own twist on the bassline, changing it up. It could of course also be that whoever transcribed the song misheard the original bassline and transcribed it wrong. Regardless, whether this change is good or bad is of course up to each individual listener. Personally I prefer the original bassline, but that is just my preference.
