In our last video, we visited lush green cities with waterfalls in South Carolina. And in this video, we show you Asheville, North Carolina!
When we get to Asheville, we stay at a friend’s house for 2 nights, a hotel for 2 nights and an Airbnb for 4 nights on this trip.
Matt’s sister Mila came to visit with her dog Nola and we continued the most excellent adventure together!
This video is packed with wandering, good times and unexpected moments so stay tuned to watch!
To start this journey off, we drove from Spartanburg, South Carolina. We made a stop in the Smokey Mountains to look at Looking glass Falls.
From there, we stopped at a hotel to look over the hill at the Smokey Mountains.
When we arrived at our friend’s house in Asheville, she had guest tickets to visit the arboretum so we walked around and gazed at some of the most beautiful trees and natural habitat. We learned about bonsais at their exibit.
Then we walked around town to eat, drink some coffee and people watch.
We moved to a hotel and spent some time waiting for Matt’s sister to arrive at the airport with her dog Nola.
The next day, we went to an Airbnb up in the mountains and went on a misty walk.
Our Airbnb was just a short drive away from Black Mountain, where we visited some friends, watched a live band play and walked around the small town.
We sat for tea in Asheville and went to a farmer’s market.
Asheville is full of art, natural beauty, kind people and great music. We could see ourselves living here one day. For now, we would highly consider coming back and spending more time here. Now let’s see how far it is from Tallahassee… 7 1/2 hours. Not bad.
We hope you enjoyed this video, and if you did - give it a thumbs up!
