Ever thought about becoming a Marine Officer? Veteran Marines have their questions answered straight from the OSO in a the most straight forward, transparent manner...Marine to Marine
I always watched this great video throughout the process of applying to OCS

I’m watching this now as I prepare to go through my selection board in 2022, I love the fact now officers can have for sleeves and the Marines will not question it

Thanks so much for this video! I’m going Reserves just so that it will increase my chances. Everyone I know disagrees heavily with my reasoning.

Keely Roberts I’m doing the same thing. Everyone disagrees with me and they’ve told me I shouldn’t do it, but I’ve already contacted an OSO and he agrees that it will increase my chances

Did you end up becoming a Marine after all?

@@gonzalezd8255 Haha, pretty crazy you ask! I got to the tenth week at Parris island and broke my hip. Two years later I’m in the Air Force! No regrets. :)

@@asmrkeels1 damn that’s crazy haha. Everything happens for a reason. How was the Air Force process after the injury you suffered? Did you have to get a waiver?

Hey SSGT, idk if you will reply but I got out 2011 and been out for 6 years now and will be graduating Spring 2018. I am 28 now and really considering trying to pursue the OCS route. I do have two half sleeves but my prior service I was a 4.7/4.7 Marine with a 260 PFT and 299 CFT. I've always been a pretty heavy guy but always made tape. I have been staying in shape and feel like I have a year to prepare to lose more weight and train hard to get a higher PFT. Just wanting to know would it even be worth going into my OSO and seeing if he would do all the paper work. Just don't want to waste anyone's time if I have to get waivers. Just wanting to get an idea

Front 'of' the line, sounds like he says frontline as in combat arms (if that's what you mean), but I think he just means priority on boarding, etc.
