In this vlog I ask my parents about how to have a good relationship with your children, advice on marriage, their thoughts on their future son-in-law, balancing Indian culture while living in Western society, and aspects of our culture that we disagree with.
Thank you so much to everyone who sent in such interesting questions for this Q&A! I love having deep life talks with my parents, and I always wanted to share some of these conversations in the hopes that it would inspire you to also communicate more openly about things and be willing to become vulnerable in front of people who make you feel safe.
Nonetheless I do realise that not all parents/kids are ready to have such conversations and I am by no means saying every child-parent relationship must look like this. Please also note that we are talking about things from the perspective of our Malayalee, Indian culture, so please don't take offence of generalisations such as us referring to "the normal age" of getting married :)
That aside, I hope you are able to resonate with at least one part of this vlog and I would LOVE to hear your thoughts and opinions on all these juicy questions lol.
See you soon in my next one 💓
