Here's the one you really should do and which I'd say 95% of Massachusetts drivers don't even know even though the RMV docs talk about it: a red left-turn arrow onto a one-way road means "stop and look before proceeding into the one-way". I can't tell you how many times I've been behind people who just sit there and wait for it to turn green even though they're turning onto a one-way. And then these are the same people who when they go they don't even stop at Stop signs to turn right. Honestly where do these drivers learn and who is passing them?

If it's BLINKING it is the SAME as a STOP sign. If it is STEADY, you have to wait for it to turn GREEN or YELLOW.

In Stoughton Massachusetts that is a no right on red arrow at one intersection accompanied by a right on red after stop sign. I guess they want to clarify what was allowed. It's a strange intersection and the only Direction you can go is right.

It’s illegal to turn on red arrows unless they have one of those signs

Right Turn Arrows Are More Common In Left Side Driving Nations Like Australia 🇦🇺 New Zealand 🇳🇿 The UK 🇬🇧 Japan South Africa 🇿🇦 And Many Others

In those cases, the right turn arrow is analogous to the left turn arrow in the US, because a right turn is a cross traffic turn in those countries. A red arrow on a cross-traffic turn, means wait until the arrow turns green, even if thru traffic has a green circle. This question is about a red arrow given for curbside turns, rather than cross-traffic turns, and curbside turns on both red circles and red arrows are legal in most of the US. There are some LHT countries that allow left-on-red as an analogous rule to right-on-red in the US, like Victoria Australia, where it is allowed if permitted by a sign.

Stupid. Not in some states. Wouldn’t it make more sense to go with the safer and less confusing option like the other states? (No turn on red arrow)? I guess Florida thinks it’s too woke or something 🤡
