28 - I am new to the firearms world and am looking to gain as much knowledge as I can. I purchased a Ruger LC9S pistol for edc which I carry in an Alien Gear IWB holster and my carry ammo is Hornady Critical Defense. I just recently picked up a Bushmaster XM15-E2S rifle before the attorney General up here in good ole communist Mass banned em! Anyways, as a new gun owner looking to start a practical defensive arsenal, what is the next type of gun I should be looking at for my third purchase?
Additional Questions For Sheepdog Society Members
50 - What do we do if we want to ask you a question but don't know what to ask?
57 - I'll preface this by saying right now money is tight. That being said dollar for dollar what is the better way to go option 1 A pistol with day/night sights rear sight with a ledge and use a separate flashlight in the other hand? or option 2 A pistol with factory Novak sights equipped with a light/laser? Also what are your thoughts on micro red dots on pistols, are they worth it?
02 - What are good rifle drills to do at a 25 yard static range?
31 - What are your thoughts on Glock 17's with the grips shortened to accept Glock 19 mags.
05 - Gotta love early morning debates with coworkers but it generated a question I feel is worth passing on to you for your opinion. My coworker has his concealed handgun license and has an anti-sheep dog mentality, stating that he will not defend himself with lethal force if the situation is in a public forum. He specifically outlined malls, theaters, classrooms, office space, etc. So I asked him how the threat to his personal life and well being changes based on his present location. He replied "I will not defend those who are not immediately related to myself". Then I asked why he carries at all? His answer "so that I can defend myself in a situation I feel warrants lethal force" . That said, what is your opinion on these "anti-sheepdog" concealed license holders? If they are not willing to oppose an act of evil, why carry at all?
