Financing a car is wise if you can afford the car upfront. I purchased a car for $20k and the interest rate was 1.5%. Put the $20k in a corporate bond that pays around 4.5%. In a way, I’m not even paying for my car. Additionally, with high inflation figures I’ve benefit from inflation risk decreasing the cost of each interest payment.

He’s the sales manager at Mercedes Benz of Temecula, one of the more high end Mercedes dealers in the US. He’s easily making $400K-$500K a year. This is the same dealership that gets allocations for some of the most exclusive Mercedes models. If I remember correctly they had I believe 4 or 5 Mercedes S650 Maybach Convertibles. They made 300 of these for the entire world and only 75 came to the US so for a single dealer getting 4 or 5 of them it means they have crazy sales figures.
