In this video I recorded 3 meals we had on an ordinary day.
- For breakfast, we had kimchi dumplings we made before.
I like steamed dumplings. Mr He likes pan fried dumplings. So I made both.
- For lunch, I made Stir-Fried Rice Noodles with Beef.
This is a dish Mr He loves but I don't really like.
So we basically eat it once a month. (Mr He corrected me that we ate it once a year...)
- For dinner, it's my first time making tempura at home. That was easier than I thought.
I learned the trick online: Make some shallow cuts on a shrimp's belly then stretch it longer. In this way the shrimp won't curl up after deep frying.
For the tempura batter, I used 1 cup of all-purpose flour (cake flour works better here), 3/4 cup of iced water, and 1 large egg.
Simply cover the shrimp and vegetables with flour, then coat them in batter, fry them until crispy.
Tempura dipping sauce:
Dashi Broth - 400g
(400g water boil kelp and radish for 10 minutes)
Mirin - 3 tablespoons
Sugar - 1 teaspoon
Soy Sauce - 5 tablespoons
