I did a school project on stress relief and stumbled upon ASMR and the first thing that came into my mind was a scene from My Girl where Vada the girl checks her best friends scalp for personality patterns. I tried therapy early this year after years of struggling, only for my therapist to tell me he didn´t understand why I was there, and that he thought that I didn´t actually feel any of the feelings I was describing. Any issues I told him about were simply thrown back at me with a "yeah, but everyone feels like that". He kept saying "not to be a critic or anything, but...". It felt weird hearing all of this from a strange man, and I left therapy feeling even worse. Safe to say I sadly haven´t gotten the nerve to try therapy again since, but these kinds of videos help me build up the courage to eventually seek help again, so thank you!
