Me throughout the entire video: “well my biggest fear is any medical treatment. Shots, checkups, doctors, etc. I am terrified of the human body and its functions and I never let anyone touch or test me in any medical sense.” Her at the end: “all you have to do this week is go see your doctor for a physical!🤪” Me: 😨

Seriously though I’ve been thinking about contacting my doctor (big deal for me) and see if he can get me a therapist. It’s probably way over due. This helped motivate me a bit more to take that step, thank you.

Little late to this but I wanted to say that I fully understand your fear of doctors, hospitals, tests, surgery, being poked and prodded…I only go to the doctor when it’s absolutely necessary, and my blood pressure is so high when I go because of the anxiety that they have to retake it later in the visit. Phobias of doctors, hospitals, and medical procedures are real, and I hope you’ve found a way to cope with it and seek therapy if that was your choice. But I wanted to say that I’m with you and fully get it. Combine phobias with the ridiculous medical bills you get for the slightest thing in the U.S. even with good insurance and it’s made me terrified to go to the doctor or have any tests done. I get told all the time to get this test or that done, and I just put it off because I can’t deal with the anxiety. If you’ve found any solutions or coping mechanisms, please let me know, and I hope you have. Best to you and yours. 💜
