1.19 The steps to reduce the crowds of passengers is not only buying for extended 6 car train but it should adjust its services intervals. Now, BTS Skytrain has bought new trains from China which is expected to roll out in service this December with the launch of the Sukhumvit Line Kasetsart University Extention. The new models will have wider spaces and screens telling the stations information. Bangkok rail transports still remain reliable.

The Chinese trains are actually not bad at all, as good as Siemens in my opinion. Also, I think the MRT Blue Line is better nowadays in terms of service despite only have 3 cars for each train. At every MRT station, there are screens that tell you when trains are arriving on the platform, I think it makes passengers feel more assured and seems more reliable. And the new extension really helps people in west Bangkok who want to travel downtown.

According to BTS, the trains are used interchangeably between Sukhumvit and Silom Lines. The latter line has Saphan Taksin Station (S6) which only supports 5 cars. It would be hard to have 6-car trains and 4-car trains together when they share tracks. All of their latest purchase were 4-car trains. I'm no train expert but I think it is a stupid excuse. They could at least make it 5 instead of 4, Saphan Taksin can still support them. Silom Line actually had 6-car trains at one point if I can recall correctly, but that was something like 7 years ago.

In general, they usually jump to six cars (five aren't common). And Saphan Taksin station will be going into huge renovation works for extended two-way tracks which support six-car trains in both directions. That means the station needs to close for 40 months to facilitate construction works. So, it's a huge waste of time if you extended 3 times before finally become 6 car train.

More Train tracks should be put up along parallel roads. New York City has 4 parallel Up and Down lines.

3:28 "Instead of running an extra couple of trains, NO WAY" By the way, the train that you were filming is a brand new train that just came out on the rail a couple of weeks before you uploaded this video. xD They are planning to add 46 new trains by the end of 2020. And now 22 trains are now added to both Silom and Sukhumvit line.

Actually for short trips the local city bus is very cheap and really pretty fast. The bus is also a fun ride.

BTS Should Learn From MRT 3 because MRT 3 are rehabilitating trains from 30kph to 65kph

When the BTS first opened the trains used to have 3 cars and the BTS buy more trains with 4 cars and the first train with still 3 cars so that time one train has 3 cars and the other has 4 but now all trains have 4 cars and 2 new different trains so in total the BTS has 98 trains
