C'mon Nick We know you Love Gigabyte. But that Asrock is a Pretty Board!!! I love the positioning of the USB 3.0 Headers, Asus should take notes!!! With the 011D standard case it is almost impossible to connect the front panel USB 3 Cable positioned at the bottom of the board when 3 fans installed at the bottom for intake without an extra $25 Cable Mod investment and even that isn't perfect. a bit more torque on the header than I would like.

cheers. it would have been nice if this video went into a little more detail about the razer lighting, what it is and how it compares given that it's the only difference between the boards apart from boring color scheme and ugly razer branding. I have an asrock board but i don't use the software for the RGB. I just leave it at factory default and let it wave thru all the colors non-stop. probably why i've had no problems with it. at least you've informed us that it's not very good and razer is good in this respect. i'm sure razer expects the user to create a shitty razer account and the software will collect too much data and be resource-hungry. not a fan of their overpriced stuff that always require mandatory proprietary this and that but it's kinda cool to see Asrock venturing out on such collaborations and i'm sure the board resolves what you seem to imply is Asrock's Achilles's heel.

@PlaAwa
3 жыл бұрын
@@azathothwakesup hold up, wait a minute. this is getting confusing now. the OP said that ASROCK BOARDS ARE GOOD, so what are you totally agreeing with? @Hugo, you edited your response to say its a BAD COLLABORATION NOW? If Asrock "make great performance motherboards" with "the worsst RGB" and Razer does "the best RGB out there" then this is a PERFECT COLLAB, going by that thing called logic. I just don't like how (iirc from experience) Razer usually requires you to create an account with them and install resource hungry software. I think I'm talking about Cortex. @Gear Seekers, cheers. Unfortunately i'm still finding myself googling what it is/what's unique about it and failing to comprehend. just assuming it's 'advanced' in what it does. The video kzitem.info/news/bejne/0Y2E4Kqlf6Jzgo4 on the Razer site www.razer.com/chroma-workshop only serves to confuse people further with randomness that shows no RGB at all. Or is the software you refer to, 'Synapse Beta'? Not that I really care about RGB that much. Just saying that if there is only one diff between this and the orig mobo, and it's some RGB software from Razer, perhaps even just one or two points of difference between Asrock's and Razer's RGB software would've been nice. Still, it seems that Asrock has identified or been informed about a real or perceived weakness on their boards and have been proactive about adopting a third party solution from a company that usually makes expensive/high quality gear. This is a great idea, especially because it appears that Asrock tends to 'cheap out' on their boards (other than on the Tai Chi ones), albeit to provide better value to their customers. I"m sure that some people will love the understated, low profile 'all black' look of this board, EVGA style and those are not always the same people that love the RGB, which highlights this board's versatility. Gotta say tho that the traditional Tai Chi boards have probably been the best, visually, of all mobos, with the cogs and yin yangs.
