Last gen, PCIe releases seems to be a feature that exclusively only exists for Aorus and high end ROG boards. But now I'm glad to see even ASrock started to implement it on their mid-high end boards. Even MSI put it for their MAG (lower tier) boards on their X870 Tomahawk sneak peak. I hope this becomes the standard for future boards. QoL should be accessible for everybody. I hope that Nova stays to be the value king just like with Z790, and damn X870 Nova looks really beautiful. I have high hopes for Nova boards, I really love the aesthetics. Can't wait to see Nova Z890 in the future. They probably use the same design, but who knows. 😁

Nope, no way, Jose -- not with just a single extra PCIe slot and no 10GbE option built in to make up for some of that lost connectivity. lol a X16 slot is a X8 slot consumer boards do not need X16, never ever are they X16 only the server boards house them when they have special cards as far as i know there is not one single gpu who uses X16 on all it lanes, again besides server boards. It would not even surprise me if the lanes are actually not being connected on the boards at all. But destroying boards to check is not my cup of tea xD, to be blunt it is again just to sell something people like to see and are a good way to pump up prices Consumers in most cases are being fooled alot like the insane VRM nonsense they make more and more this sell trick but it actually means nothing just garbage The serverboard gpu cards are often used for insane fast calculation and do not even have a exit for graphics on them they are made solo to calc insane fast

I have also installed a lowly JRC5532 OP-AMP, replacing the original OPA2124 atrocity. Point is, there is simply NOTHING that will reach the feature pack of the Z97 G1.SNIPER board. UES capacitors + simplicity of the circuit and swappable OP-AMPS cannot be beaten in this package. No latency, drivers or other problems like clocking and jitter unlike everything external would introduce (I2C? Good luck making that work with the PC without a headache). We used to get it THAT good years ago. Not to mention the LINE-IN is also really transparent, unlike any other bloated circuit in external soundcards or USB interfaces. The cut down audio I'm talking about? Check the rear IO. No dedicated line-In. So, for my much needed upgrade, I have to resort to buying several expensive devices and all the issues that come from that, in order to get what I have now. A soundcard or an USB interface for the line in (which will never be as transparent as the G1.SNIPER's LineIn), and an uber expensive DAC.... This is my problem. Also, I don't use headphones with the PC, so most recent audio implementations put the "high end audio features" at the front panel (the TAICHI's for example puts an ESS9218 at the front audio ONLY), which is the worse thing you can do. That's where the noise gets picked up (and thus - the noisy on-board audio myths), destroying the whole idea, so it's just useless. The audio trend of late with using wima polyesters films (which sound sterile and flat) is also annoying but that's the least of the problems. And the SATA situation is obvious. I need at least 6, with 8 preferable, something available on X570 for example in the TAICHI. Can I put SATA PCIE expander boards? Sure. And that's just more headaches. And the price for the AM5 so far was just ridiculous, mostly because of new features and standards that I personally don't care about, while those that I care about are reduced to a joke.

Remember when ASUS was king and everyone was all downing ASRock with comments like "At least it isn't ASRock quality".... Oh how the tables have turned.
