Connor's story revealed a side of American history where freedom and justice is a matter of perspective and not all people are represented and rewarded in this fight. It's an important story but one that is grossly unexamined and talked about. That's why it's my favorite...and I think it's important that people give it a little more credit.

I respect Ezio as well. He aldready had everything. He had the choice to either live wealthy and well or fight. He chose to fight, even though he had no obligation to do so. Connor however, didn't have anything. So he could either rot, or fight. The choice seems pretty clear there. Ezio was special because he made a choice most people wouldn't. Why would you fight if you already have everything? He did it because he saw the bigger picture.

No emotions? After he killed Haytham, he regrets it. Under the portrait he wrote "I made a mistake" in his language and he wrote it in Mohawk because he doesn't want that Achilles understand it, because every time Connor has feelings for his father, want to make peace Achilles always says no. So Connor hide his emotions, he's shy, like a lot of people and this is why He's great. And when he founded that Charles didn't burned his village, He wanted to kill him anyway because of the horrible man he is, Connor said to Charles "So I can find you" before the village attack, before all that. Charles treated him and his People like animals because he's racist and does whatever he wants when Haytham isn't around him.

@@asmrbully6980 by 1781 shay likely died/gave up being a templar because he was 21 in 1754 when connor was born and connor was 27 so 21 + 27 and therefore he's 48, now in the modern day, that's fine but back in the 1700's Shay would be dead, like dead because disease ran amok, shay already interacted with poison and gas without even checking a single doctor and even if by all odds Shay survived, Connor would still win due to being more brutal and using a larger arsenal and being 20 years younger while shay is far older, using uniform tatics that Connor has likely studied from fighting Redcoats and only wielding a sword and dagger, although Shay's biggest advantage would be the historically inaccurate grenade launcher but Connor wouldn't likely give him the time, and due to Connor being able to scour the trees, he would likely win because he could slip into the treetops or just charge him and not give him time to ready his rifle (which despite being an impossibly silent rifle in the 1700's) would still be inaccurate or at least, less accurate than a modern rifle. and shay would miss letting Connor topple him, now while this could be an intresting game, i'd find it more fun as a short film, kinda like Embers because then we don't have to argue on who the player plays as and the typical 'i'm the player this character will win' thing that would likely happen. thank you and goodnight

@@drowningindanile7184 I find the entire idea really interesting. Yes, we know Shay would have to die, but I'd like to see how he ended up there. Could you imagine a really well told story about the cost of revenge, using Arno/Connor as a vehicle? Connor finally got his petty revenge against Lee, but it didn't suddenly make his people return, didn't suddenly make the world a better place, and didn't suddenly make him feel fulfilled. I think Arno's character would do really well in a story where he's mentored by Connor, grows, changes... then comes back for his Dead Kings expansion, and gets the character growth surrounding Elise. The only issue I see is that he was a little kid when his father died, so he could be emotionally removed from those motivations, but considering he lost everyone in the same way Connor did, I could see him becoming obsessive over it. Most trauma-bound people do get that way.

People say Connor is a badass. Its cause he was born as a Native American and has a brutal tomahawk by his side. Yes, he is a badass and my favorite assassin :3
@drowningindanile7184
2 жыл бұрын
just because he's Native American doesn't mean he's automatically a badass, Native Americans are human just like the rest of us, not savages not automatic badasses, and the tomahawk is just an axe, so no it's not 'brutal' because it's just an axe and trust me the rest of the time period was far worse, probably the nicest way to go would be a tomahawk, since it just clonked you while you coud be shot with a large ball of metal shooting at you, or a massive one blowing up boulders and crushing you, or someone shooting you with a large ball of metal, then stabbing you with a pointy end like a Roman Spear, or just being plain decapitated ,or losing a limb and dying of blood loss, being beaten to death, getting your eyes gourged out from torture, the list goes on and the reason Ratonhnhake:ton is a badass is because he spent years training to be an assassin but also was impulsive and anxious to fight, so he started fighting and due to being raised in a warrior culture that taught it's young to not feel remorse and to be amoral (similar to Spartans) and having pent-up rage for never avenging his mother's death, that makes Ratonhnhake:ton a brutal fighter, not because he's native american with a tomahwk (note: i am not being racist i'm just saying that being Native American doesn't instantly make you capable of fighting an entire army, if that were true we'd be kicked out from America)

@Ruby Rose I know what you mean. But you can't just forget that this guy was totally a "ONE MAN ARMY". I love Ezio and Respect Edward. However , Connor never got diverted into any pleasure or luxuries or anything that would comfort him and was firm towards his goal , even though he knew he isn't gonna succeed. He never made a joke, never laughed , never showed any emotions coz his past was freakin bad and could fight an entire army himself without even getting a single scratch. Even though the soldiers weren't skilled enough, the animals were 😄. Beers and Wolves are far stronger , quicker and furios than the soldiers anyway. And an entire army against a single man is not something so simple. I love Ezio coz he is my favourite Assassin. And Edward is one of the best Assassins so far. But this guy, was totally a badass. Can't resist sayin that one coz , he was how an Assassin should really be.
@BurninPhoenix

@Ruby Rose Wow. That was some great points. Yeah. But getting past an entite army with guns, to reach the leader isn't pretty easy. And taking out the leader/ the king is always the end of the fight. Just as you play chess. And yeah, the templars helped him, until they so a person single handedly going against an entire army without a fear, when they were running for life, scared and feared. They were having hundreds of soldiers. But they were running for life. But when they saw a single person going against the enemy, how did they even think they were gonna win, if they helped. Hundreds vs Army = Failure? A single person vs an army = Success? Well, they helped because almost knew, that the guy who entered the scene ain't an easy going guy. Yeah Connor would have done that even without their help anyway. And his style of combat was brutal. As for his past, i always felt him to be accurate instead of boring( Well, maybe coz im a person who consider the story of the games to be more important than other aspects like humour or expressions). Cheers🙂

@@SJ-yf9xyYou're right, but then again we don't know much about their lives after their respective games. In my personal opinion, I'd like to think that Arno finds out about Shay and Connor after the events of Unity and both he and Connor go and kill Shay while in his 60s. (his approximate age after the events of Unity) Arno would be like 31 - 32, Connor would be in his 40s, and Shay would be in his 60s. So I think that scenario could be plausible but I also could still be wrong given the fact that not much is revealed about what happened to each of the three characters after the games aside from Connor who I think got a comic. So all we can do is speculate until Ubisoft confirms something. And this is all just my opinion btw.

What I like about each assassins is that they are different like look at Conner he doesn’t have anybody Arno loses the girl and dad and step dad that he loves at the end, Ezio lost he’s family in the middle of the game, evie and Jacob lost their mom and dad . At the end of the game you understand that they are trying thier best to protect the country and cites they love

Conner is my number 1 best assassin but his story is dark alot
He also seems to resemble Batman a bit from what I've noticed, Saw his parent(s) die in front of him, Serious and cold but fights for what he believes in.

Connor is imo one of the best protagonists. Yes he is not as charismatic as Ezio, not as wise as Altair, not as funny as Edward - but he is the most believable. He is a raw, naive, but believable. He fights for justice of others, hoping to gain justice for his people, only to realise that justice and freedom is a matter of view and perspective. It is a tragic and underappreciated story. AC3 was great

While we all agree Connor might not be the best Assassin, I say his story is the saddest. His mother dies. He had to kill his childhood friend. His entire village, the only friends and family he's ever known, his people, die. His mentor figure dies. The man he works for is not on his side. The man he fighting is not on his side. So much shit with his father, the figuring out who he is, who he works for, working with him, and the killing his own father. In the end, Connor had no one. Everyone talks about how Connor made stupid mistakes and did dumb shit but...he was literally a kid. A teenager. Driven by anger, rage, revenge. He's almost Anakin in a way. And the only reason he didn't turn to the other side is because of all the evil that was there which he saw.

Shay Patrick Cormac from Assassin's Creed Rogue vs Conor. Who would win. It's just a Templar vs an Assassin but I mean come on, Shay used to be an Assassin and they were both trained by Achilles. Shay was also trained by Conors father when he left the brotherhood and joined the Templars
