@@anthonysebastian362 The game was great and I can excuse the ending for that reason but I don't think that's character development. Ezio tried to air assassinate Rodrigo a few hours before eventually sparing him. He even said the signature phrase "Requiescat in pace". I understand that they couldn't kill Rodrigo because he's a historical figure and he still had 7-8 years left but the way they wrote it was bad. They couldn't even excuse the decision in Brotherhood. I think it would have been better if Ezio said that "letting you live with the knowledge that you aren't the prophet is worse than death". Ezios lust revenge was tempered by the passage of time. He resolves that rodrigos death will mean very little. Ezio took the high road which is very honorable. This shows ezios growth from a mere boy to a wise leader. But in my opinion he should have killed simplify because it is a safety thing at this point. Rodrigo is in control of so much power and could strike back like Cesare did.
@assassinsknight
2 жыл бұрын
Even if Ezio had killed him, Cesare would have still attacked the Villa and killed Mario in retaliation. Something that wasn’t even Rodrigos decision, he wanted a truce with Ezio after being spared which is why he poisoned Cesare in the first place.

@assassinsknight How could Ezio guarantee that? Rodrigo has killed so many, and Ezio has killed almost as much in order to get to him. It's lousy writing.
